Who do you want for Jaron "Boots" Ennis next?

Would your rather see him wait for Spence or take, at least, a stay-busy fight?

I already made a thread about it and bumped it up yesterday and no one seems interested, all of a sudden. They were blaming Bud for taking Avanesyan, instead of Boots. Now that both are available to fight, they don't want it anymore.

Any possibility of Crawford vs Ennis happening this year?

If he's ready for that next step, Ugas makes a lot of sense. Personally, I'm getting him in there with another guy who moves a bunch and work on some stuff, then Ugas, then the title shot after Spence vacates.

I don’t mind the Romain Villa fight tbh. I just want him to be active. Ennis needs rounds, he needs experience. He’s very talented but he’s raw, you could see that in the Karen fight, he had the ability to get him out of there but he didn’t have the experience to put it all together. He needs to work on setting his shots ups, varying the power and changing the angle of attack.

Doesn't matter to me who as long as he takes one or two (preferably) more fights before the year ends. Inactivity is the number one enemy of this sport.

Boots has a lot of natural ability and I think it scares many away from fighting him. I actually would not put it past Bread, or someone else managing him to tell him to make a few rookie mistakes.

I find it hard to believe any young guy would avoid a fight. I find it more plausible (Ockham's Razor type shiat) that Crawford, or Spence might now want to fight Boots and get derailed.

Is Boots green? I think guys with the level of natural ability, athletic ability that Ennis has, can make a few mistakes. Boots has speed, he has power, a decent set of whiskers, great reflexes and some chops... He does not have to Knock you out, he can out box you. He can get you in many different ways. Karen fought well but was really on his bike a lot of the fight.

I always use Edgar Berlanga as a counterpoint to Ennis: Berlanga has been outboxed already, cannot carry his main weapon (power) to the next level, and therefore will be caught when he makes mistakes against better opposition. Totally different level of talent and attributes.
