Sammy Angott went the distance with Sugar Ray Robinson, and I'm sure writers back then had something to say about it. Somebody will always have something to say when they expect u to knock everyone out. It just says how good u are when everyone has those expectations of you. But in boxing there are certain styles that spoil a great fighter from getting the knockout. Sammy Angott was nicknamed "the Clutch", because he did a tremendous amount of holding. This guy Karen should be "the Rabbit", because he was dashing around full of fear and nervous energy. He didn't come to put any hurt on Boots. He came to go the distance and survive, for the most part. And that kinda style can spoil anyone from getting a knockout. All this is going to do is make Boots more humble and more dangerous in the future. Its a style u definitely don't see everyday, but its a style he understands much better now.

Well Said sir well said! I'm just glad someone saw the same fight I did the other night. "The Rabbits" only intention was to run and not engage. Boots realized around mid fight that head hunting wasn't going to work so he went down to the body for the rest of the fight. He won 12 rounds to zero! And you're right that Boots is ready to a much higher standard because everyone knows this kid is going to be dominant!

Boots has close to 30 fights and the first fighter that chooses to stick and move he realizes he can’t apply the fundamentals. Those include; cutting the ring off, feints, double jabs, setting traps.

Karen did well in taking the single jab away and maintaining distance, however, a fighter of Boots caliber is supposed to know how to respond to that. Karen also knew how to take a power punchers power away…keep him off balanced and give angles.

Maybe it was an off night and maybe it was the pressure he put on himself to get the KO.

Get back in the gym and work on gameplans and strategies. I hate that everyone is taking the Mayweather line of not preparing or watching film. That’s nonsense. At an elite level you better gameplan!
        Bold is the correct answer.

Karen's footwork was ELITE LEVEL. No other fighter I can recall in recent history is anywhere near as mobile and effective at movement than Karen. It was amazing to see given how fast Boots is.

This guy came in with a plan to just run around the ring all night and somehow you guys called it "taking away Boot's jab" hahahahaha yea there's no double standard in boxing at all. MY GOODNESS!!
Floyd is in my top 5 fighters of all time. I don’t think Karen is elite and that’s my point. Boots should’ve been able to adjust and adapt to that style in a few rounds. I’m not saying KO him or even KD him. But do something differently over the course of 12 rounds.

Criticizing a young fighter is not hating. That’s what’s wrong with hyperfans. Take -ish so personal.

Boots has yet to fight a former champion at 147 and the world is saying he beats Spence and Bud.

All we have to do is wait and see. Let’s see if he can show adjustments when his power and natural talent fails him. That’s the mark of an elite fighter.

            Footwork only doesn't win fights

Doesn't need to. Chukhadzhian did what mattered - he snapped the KO streak and exposed flaws in Boots's game, most notably, a failure to cut off the ring.

So losing 10-11 rounds by running/not engaging is applauded now? Guy had no intention of winning but “snapping the KO streak” is a good consolation prize to some. If this was the UFC he’d rightfully have been let go from the organization for showing up on his bike merely to survive.

"At The End Of The Day", Boots Ennis looked like a rank amateur in at least 8 of the rounds while eating punches and throwing himself off balance.

Judges almost always score for the aggressor. Boots was the aggressor.

Don't change the fact that he was made to look like a rank amateur in at least 8 rounds.

Chukhadzhian didn't "run", he forced Boots to the middle of the ring to nullify traps, then proceeded to box circles around him. That's what you saw.

This was my first Chukhadzhian fight. Love his mobility. If he were a bit more antagonistic with his output, he’d be borderline dangerous. He may be one to keep an eye on.
