Tyson had lived through boxing from the age of 13 while having one of the greatest boxing minds molding him. I think it's safe to say there will never be another 20 year old hw champ in our lifetime.

He’s 6”5. Moves really well for his size, boxes very fluid too. Very talented.

With that being said though, all this talk of being the youngest HW champ is premature, he never boxed as a senior so he’s entering the pro game with very little experience, he shouldn’t be rushed IMO.

one thing I have noticed in hindsight about the greatest heavyweight champions like ali, fury, iron mike, lewis and more is that they are highly intelligent and eloquent and we often only notice this as many years go by and we think "you know that mike tyson has a huge knowledge base of stuff he is interested in like mike loves alexander the great and the glory and minds of historical warriors. yet in his pomp he was thought of as a thug and a madman by many. He in fact was very well read and that is why his one man show sold out broadway. and we all know ali's great mind. Fury brings in this new angle of thought about surviving near certain death and then excelling at life again.
i think that newspapers love grand statements that grab our attention but great people never copy a previous king but rather bring something new to the world, i respect when a fighter has a great mind to go with physical talent and that is very rare.

Agreed... Mike was a very special case. The teenage version of Mike was so exceptional with speed/ reflexes + Cus D'Amato's teachings he would've been a threat to pretty much any fighter in history.

Moses does seem to be highly gifted, probably not good enough to beat Mike's record, but a great future match-up for other young heavyweights like Big Baby Anderson.

            Nice post!

It’s crazy that my first though was ‘is 6’5 big enough?’

He might have another inch in him yet

I tend to agree. Moses looks impressive for his age, but I don’t know if he’s good enough to break Tyson’s record. Fifteen-year-old Mike Tyson already looked fearsome. I'd daresay he would've given the bigger, older Itauma a run for his money — if not outright ruin his day.

I mean if fury and usyk retire after they fight then he can possibly beat windmill aj or anyone else. They all suck

edit: Assuming the kid is any good

Moses signed with Frank Warren, and an announcement about his first pro bout was supposed to have been made two days ago (January 5).

I didn’t dig too much, but here’s the one Itauma fight I found:

                      !! Damn!!!
This is no British heavyweight out of the Bruno, Joshua mode, more like Tyson. Looks very experienced and capable. Uniquely: Fights well off back foot, has footwork to spare, fast hands, great head movement, fights experienced. I am impressed. This kid moves very well. Can't tell power yet, but might have as well.
