Well, Itauma seems to have the discipline, desire and size. But Tyson had D’Amato and his resources. Time will tell. At the very least we now have someone to keep an eye out for. Good luck to him.

Moses Itauma doesn’t look bad at all for his age. Moves around a lot. Maybe a little too cutesy — at least at this stage. Tyson was a whole ‘nother animal at the same age, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Moses signed with Frank Warren, and an announcement about his first pro bout was supposed to have been made two days ago (January 5).

I didn’t dig too much, but here’s the one Itauma fight I found:

I found this pic. He seems to be a bit shorter or about the same height (hard to say with him slightly in the foreground) than Okolie who is 6'5".

Guy needs to do some calisthenics or get on Conner Benn's juice because he looks a little flabby. He looks like an out of shape Tim Witherspoon, and this is him at 18!

I wouldn’t call Itauma “flabby.” The kid is 18; it’s literally baby fat. He’s probably done growing, height-wise, but he’s likely to get stronger and more muscular. He’s undefeated in 22 amateur fights. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

David Benavidez started out as a chubby kid in the amateurs.

Andy Ruiz Jr.. hell, he was a chubby kid who beat up the Unified Heavyweight Champion of the World.
