Canelo would do better for his legacy to try taking care of Benavidez, a Charlo, etc. Then maybe in the future/near future another LHW attempt.
I get David but what does charlo do for his legacy
charlo resume is terrible and he ducking everyone

Forget all these A side B side young fans, who really cares who comes in first, who get pay more. You and I as fans don't gain anything from this ****** discussion. You ahve to give it to Canelo he is the only guy daring to take a risk, this is how it should be best fighting the best. This year should be good Canelo vs Bivol @, Benavidez vs Plant, Charlo vs ? Andrade vs ? Only the best dare to be great. Bivol vs Canelo at 168 why not? Canelo didn't mention it, it was Bivol who said it first. Stop with the RACIAL S****tt! Haven't we learned from life what this does to humans? Im from the Human Race. Love all fighters that get into a ring and take the sport seriously. Don't disrespect any of them, because they are the ones putting their lives on the line every time they perform.

Bivol has said several times already that he would prefer to have the rematch at 168 so he can take Canelo's belts. It's not a ploy to weaken Bivol; that's coming from Bivol, not Canelo. I don't think Canelo would prefer to risk everything he still has against someone who has already beaten him soundly once.

                That's out of context.
Bivol never said he would prefer 168. Bivol said he can make 168lbs and implied that he would consider it

Canelo isn't beating Bivol, not at 175, not today.

Canelo knocks out come forward fighters and breaks down less durable boxers over time. The problem with Canelo vs Bivol at 175 is that Bivol is the bigger man and he can box your ass off. Bivol out boxed Canelo and even when Canelo did connect they didn't land clean or seem to have a lasting effect.

Fast Eddie is likely full of crap but if there is a rematch... big if. I would expect Canelo to wait until after Bivol fights Beterbiev for a few reasons. First, Bivol will need to beef up to withstand the incoming because just boxing and moving for 12 rounds won't cut it. (Keep in mind, everyone thought Gvozdyk was a better boxer with more power than Bivol and we all saw what Beterbiev did to him.) Second, win or lose, Beterbiev is the stronger guy and he's coming to do damage and Bivol will need to survive that onslaught.

If Canelo's team is smart, they'll want the fight shortly after Beterbiev and lure a nicked up Biviol down to 168lbs.

                    What a warrior ginger is

He has no need for this fight, his legacy is already cemented, he's the cash cow of boxing.

He could just stay at 168 facing a bunch of Avanesyans and call himself P4P king like a certain someone and he'd still get paid handsomely

but his pride won't allow it, he wants the tough-as-hell rematch, he's the one chasing it, as Bivol is focused on chasing Duckabiev for undisputed

Can he win? ginger's chances are better at 168, but the consequences will be way worse if he loses

he'll find himself beltless out of sudden and will have to make peace with the fact Bivol is his daddy

no other boxing star is taking these kind of risks

This rematch should be made at 175.
