“But Dmitry Bivol is about belts, he’s about legacy. He’s made it clear to us that he could make 168 pounds.”

If Bivol goes to 168, and becomes Undisputed @ 168, he goes to P4P #1, that is unless Usyk becomes Undisputed at HW!

Wouldn't even bother giving any racist piece of s*** on this forum your time that was baiting at it's finest and should he ignored. Disgraceful there are people on here talking s*** like that behind a keyboard.

Things he wasn't able to do in the first fight due to poor conditioning and underestimating Bivol.
Always funny to me how Canelo fans prefer to make excuses for his loss as opposed to acknowledging that Bivol is just better than him and maybe Canelo’s level of performance has more to do with his level of competition than anything else.

I agree, he should stay away from 168, but I wouldn’t call it a “ploy”. The person who initially and persistently keeps mentioning the fight taking place at 168 is Bivol himself. Not once has Canelo or Hearn said the fight MUST take place at 168. In any case, if canelo is the man I think he is, he’d want the rematch at 175– this way Bivol can be at full strength. Similar to Mcgregor-Diaz in the UFC. When Diaz won the first fight at 170 (which was 15 pounds heavier than Mcgregor fighting class) mcgregor demanded the rematch also took place at 170 to right all wrongs. I’d expect Canelo to do the same.

Agree with your assessment. I do believe Canelo can deploy a different game plan and use his aggression and hand speed more, but will it be enough? Doubt it. Bivol is simply a master boxer— reminiscing of Andre ward the way he uses jabs and straight rights not only for offense, but to keep safe and comfortable distance, and engaging only when he wants to.

Canelo and Eddie, and not ****** enough to give Bivol the very very likely chance to take all of Canelo's 168 belts. Then what happens to Canelo? Much smarter option would be to just hog the belts and fight cherry picked easy fights at 168. Expect a mungia fight in Mexico to happen late 2023.
