He needs an easier fight as a tune-up, then he can go to Wilder who is top 5 also. Against someone like Wilder you can't go in having lost your last 2 fights. AJ has to KO Wilder in first 4 rounds. If it goes much longer Wilder will most likely KO him. Wilder has the hardest punch of any boxer in history and he is fast with good stamina

AJ and his team did want the fight years ago but Finkel/Haymon didn't. That's why the fight never happened. I base that opinion on facts, as I can know them, not the shit that people talk in comments online.

At the time Ruiz was a cherry-pick by hearn. You Brits knew nothing about Ruiz and thought he and a bunch of other US fighters were easy pickings (kinda like Whyte vs Franklin). LoL, you learned after the "takeover of America" that you better check these fighters over here out a LOT better.
