Some pčople go back to Cuba to show off their wealth because Cuba now lets them in after being considered traitors and at the same time thanks to the Cuban regime they were able to " pursue the American dream" because the US accepts all Cubans specially athletes that " flee oppresion ".

For the same reason most cubans do when visiting...to show off the dollars. Cuba had close doors to traitors like Gamboa but due to the need of money, the Cuban government has changed its ways. Ironically, thanks to the Cuban regime, Cubans have a free pass to the US, specially if they are athletes. Gamboa and many other Cuban new riches like artists and athletes, take advantage of blurred laws and live both in Miami and Cuba, with both countries accepting it for some reason nowadays. Cubans get a free pass and benefits in the US (of course US with taxpayers`money) with the condition that they donīt return to the country they " escaped due to the Communist regime " and at the same time benefits in Cuba ( some yearrs ago they were banned because they were "traitors and went to enemy land" but now they need their money.
