Hopkins on the Mayweather-Mosley Interview saga.

Even though a Mosley-Mayweather fight bumps an HBO date for Hopkins to allow him to fight earlier, I still agree with everything he said. Floyd needs to stop being a ***** and fight to see who's the linear Welterweight boss. I'm against Ring having Mayweather over Cotto at 147 based on resumes, but if it gets us a Mosley-Mayweather fight, I'm not going to complain about it.

Shane Mosley starts acting like Floyd Mayweather Jr. and then Floyds fans don't like it?
Looks like its working because Shane Mosley now has everyones attention. Mosley is Champion and is a real WW. If Floyds ends out fighting Pacquiao and retires he will be hunted for life.

That's quite an eye opener and in sight.
Is that what he's been told in the past then?
Surely that's saying, I've applied that logic to my own career?
Big statement there really, because for me, it is.

Funny how all of a sudden Mayweather is a victim now. Sure, it wasn't ethical. But Bernard makes a great point. These guys are just taking a page from the promoter's book, and instigating a fight.
'A closed mouth don't get fed'
So true. Mosley has always been the good guy. Obviously, this hasn't gotten him what he feels he deserves, so he does what he feels he must.
Mayweather has done the same thing, and its just Floyd being Floyd.
I'm glad someone finally brought it out on Front Street for everyone to see. I think that was genius, as we all know how much Floyd loves the spotlight. Steal some of that from him, and he will have to fight you.

Read it again;
BH: "No. I'd be telling Floyd Mayweather if it's about lining your pockets, I'd tell him to fight the least threatening fighter
The point he's trying to make, is that if it's purely about money, then yeah, h'd advise PBF to go ahead and fight the smaller guys. If that's PBF's sole motive, then he'd advise him to go down that path.
But he's not applying that logic to his career at all, nor is it any sort of admission of his own own career path. It's a rip on the idea that Floyd is all about the money, and not about legacy.
The whole article is Hops ripping on and Floyd and trying to goad him. Why would Hopkins then try to equate himself with PBF? Hmmm?
Do us all a favour and stick to the "Check out who Calslappy is shagging right now!!!" threads.

But to this degree, this kind of admittance, logic and insight is significant. That's all I'm saying.
Quotes are there to analyse and constructively critique, and it's interesting to say the least Hopkins openly admits to strong views of going for the lighter guy over the bigger more dangerous one where possible. Not everyone feels quite so strongly or would follow something like that quite so firmly.
My boys dancing on tv like robocop at the moment, fuck him, Mayweather did a much better job...

I kinda have the opposite opinion a little to be honest. The refusal to admit that all fighters are in the business to maximise their earnings is annoying to me. Of course they would all fight no-risk fights for big money rather than high-risk fights for big money. Its common ***n sense and these guys are in there getting their faces punched in to earn a dollar. Its the ***n business, people need to deal with it.
