We’ve been over this before lol. Lewis was offered the fight TWICE and turned it down and the WBC then mandated a fight. Bowe and Newman wasn’t having the bs. They were going to fight again until McCall knocked Lewis the *** out. Add in that the same thing you guys criticize Bowe for, Lewis did it TWICE by vacating the IBF and WBA. to keep from fighting Byrd and Ruiz. History has forgotten about this and I feel Lewis would have won those fights, but were those “ducks” too?

Wilder could have beat him had he actually thrown uppercuts. The best way to beat a man clinching and hanging on you is to lift his head up with an uppercut. But we all know wilder isn’t a skillful hw and only has one punch.Bowe would have beaten this Fury, especially if he had Futch in his corner in a hypothetical match up. Lewis would have beaten Fury as well. For the life of me, I never understood why Wilder never hit Fury in the body. Fury was good at evading head shots all day long but his big body was an open target. However, saying and doing this strategy are totally different.Comment

Fury fights are as fake as a 3 dollar bill that is why the other guy is not trying to win. Obvious fixed fights over and over for the occult ho mo goof.Comment

Your choice of words is interesting. You could have much more easily said
"I dont like Fury and know nothing at all about boxing"
in many less words and conveyed the EXACT point. Not for nothing, I know youre still young and immature, (and your grasp of boxing is on par with your English) but trust me when I tell you that nowhere on Earth, least of all a professional boxing match, are the laws of physics contingent upon,or affected by your singular little opinion. The sooner you realize that the better off you'll be. Good luck.Comment

Quite right. Spot-on. Lenny sold his belt for the Tyson fight. And I think Byrd would have extended Lewis in an ugly match. Thing is, the optics of Bowe trashing his belt had far more power over history than any boardroom decisions by Lewis.

“I’d have jabbed him; then I’d have stepped in and broken a rib or two. Guys aren’t going to his body."
Many men have tried, and many men have failed!
It's not so easy to jab a guy as tall, long and mobile as Fury. Wlad Klitschko had one of the best jabs in HW history and he couldn't do it.
Likewise stepping in and going for his body ... he reacts too quickly, stepping back out of the way on those huge, long legs or grabbing you as you step in and leaning his 270lb+ weight on you, or throwing fast hooks and uppercuts to catch you coming in.Last edited by kafkod; 01-02-2023, 08:11 AM.Comment

Lots of champions have quietly relinquished belts to avoid awkward mandatories. But only one called a press conference and threw his WBC belt into a rubbish bin in front of a crowd of reporters.
