"Terrible defense" yet he barely got hit clean throughout his prime years.

    Explain that one, please.

Man if you think RJJ was boring to watch, then Bernard Hopkins will literally put you to sleep.

Everytime I watch one of his fights I take pleasure seeing him get beaten down.

He is easily the most arrogant fighter and egotistical I've ever seen. Everytime he gets hit his ego gets hurt and he starts smiling and showboating. His defense is also horrible and consisted of just using a high guard and covering up and not throwing anything back.

He's one of the only fighters that you can say was scared of getting hit. After he got knocked out he pulled all his punches and never commited to anything.
I disagree. Jones beat loads of great fighters. Fighers who can't fight much become MMGy Fighters for small money. Not boxers.

I always thought Canelo would school him with his smart pressure at 168. RJJ's weakness was smart pressure and forcing to fight on the ropes. He had mediocre stamina and low output. He also had mediocre chin. His raw athleticism was a make up for his low level fundamentals.

For example, Griffin was basically schooling him by landing "more punches" and landing "half of his punches" on him. His strategy was smart pressure. He was ahead on one scorecard. Griffin is 170 cm guy who has 178 cm reach. The same proportions with Canelo.

If we apply that on 168, Canelo is clearly better fighter than Griffin and Jones at 168 is a bit better than his 175 version. The technically outcome is Canelo win. I laugh with my a$$ when people see RJJ as God.

              Griffin wasn't schooling anybody.

It's also not a guarantee that Canelo beats Griffin either.

I have that dummy blocked, but could see his quote from your reply.

Pre-Jones Griffin would torture Cleneloterol. Not sure Clenny would get past a Brannon either. Sosa would wreck Cleneloterol for sure. Levels here.

Our topic ain't Canelo vs Griffin you grandpa. We're talking about how Canelo could give RJJ hell because of the similar proportion and style with Griffin. And, Canelo is far ahead of Griffin in terms of skills.

I've always liked the idea of a belt-hungry and peaked Canelo (like against Callum) torturing RJJ on the ropes. At least Callum had some chin.

Read and analyze better next time.

That’s just hating to say that RJJ was boring and chit
                    No fughin way
He was phenomenal in his prime but as so many boxers he stuck around way to long
That’s why people even consider questioning his career

The topic doesn't have anything to do with Canelo in general either yet you brought him into it for no reason what so ever.

You said Griffin was schooling Roy Jones which is patently false.

You then used it as some kind of reasoning as to why Canelo has a chance with Roy Jones, which is illogical and on top of that I could easily see Griffin beating Canelo anyway.

It's neither here nor there, Canelo's chances against Roy Jones are less than 1%. There aren't many stylistic match ups for Canelo that I can think of that would be worse.
