there is no outcome yet....on ppv buys.
the post you replied to said "if it did a million....."
most missed that "if" and suddenly it's as if it did get 1M hits...

      Boricua,

That is not a position that you want to take. At least not in writing.

I agree with you Al with this one. With US still in the recession i doubt it will double. But higher than the JMM vs Mayweather fight for sure..

yeah, i was expecting less warm bodies in the arena.
and was surprised to see nearly full house.
but the promoters i believe are still a bit disappointed it did not fill out to the rapters.
what with all the hypes, promotions, reschedules and all that, leaving no stone unturned.....still it fell short!!

the fyt outcome was actually a foregone conclusion.
everybody just wanted to see how floyd will dispose of marquez.
i was expecting a near spectacular performance...even bet points for a t/ko (promptly paid).
he needed a good showing to give him leverage when he negotiates with pacman.
but then floyd returned to where he is good at....boxing without taking any unnecessary risk....
he could have kod marquez many times if he pressed some more....
but that's how floyd fyts....,plain snoozer.

If Mayweather-Marquez really sold a million, then that is a haaaaard number to Pac-Cotto to meet/beat.

Guys, remember: we are not the mainstream. we know the name of Pacquiao's wife and Miguel's uncle. Remember that video where those hot girls were predicting the Pac/Cotto fight? Those are the kinds of people you need to bring in when you get over a million.

Floyd was on Dancing w/ The stars. He is on a commercial. He has been in mega-fights. He speaks English. He was all over the radio. He has a shyteload of youTube videos and arguments with Brian Kenny. Floyd hustled hard to sell this fight on ESPN and other venues.

Pac-Cotto is the better fight. A boxing fan's fight. But don't count on it doing astronomical numbers. Regardless of what Arum is telling you.

Arum told you the arena sold out. Go online and check for yourself.

I went on and checked earlier and TONS of tix were available.
