Good cause PBC would be up **** creek if they did. AL needs to pull a rabbit out his ass or play ball hell of a lot more with other promoters because Showtimes boxing budget isnt remotely sufficient enough to carry that stable alone.

People were saying PBC was screwed in like 2015 as well.

It was wishful thinking then, its wishful thinking now.

They had hundreds of millions in 2015. That money is gone. And the 2022 schedule proved that.

No pbc champion fought twice in 2022

People weren't saying that in 2015 bruh, Al had just secured that $600 million dollar Waddell & Reed war chest. Good to be optimistic but the reality is the pool of networks to secure partnerships and funds from has dwindled significantly.

            ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX(FS1),BOUNCE,
SPIKE,TBS,BET?...have all decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. Horrible track record to have if you're trying to convince future investors to invest in your company/brand imo. There's PG,PEA**** and Amazon Prime so there's a glimmer of hope there but I'd be shocked if they're interested in investing in a sport that is as fractured as it is and continually shoots itself in the foot.

Looks like inactive fighters will become even more inactive next year. Many of them are way overdue in going back for their tuneup fights.

I think Amazon or Netflix might pick up a few fights but if so they are not going to pay top dollar. They WOULD pay top dollar if the ratings were good but boxing ratings have ****** for years now. All you have is guys fighting non punchers and all of the fights on the main networks (except, sometimes Pay per view fights) are dull non competitive fights. Network execs want ACTION back and forth fights and you just dont see that on TV anymore. They always choose a sorry ass bum to fight who cant punch harder then a mouse.

The FOX dead ended in 2021 - they've just been continuing on when there's a PPV. I imagine that will not change in 2023 unless PBC finds a new outlet.

But the field is loaded with players looking for content - Paramount+, Amazon Prime, etc.

Will be interesting to see how everything lands.
Yeah Amazon is trying to get a standalone sports streaming app. Their NFL content won't be enough to fill it up, so maybe the PBC can get a bid.

Any more remaining fight/s for Fox before saying goodbye? Or that's it for the network and no more fights should be expected?

Hate to be pessimistic, but I doubt things will get improved this year in terms of fighters' activity. I'm sure many of them feel their comeback fights were already way overdue. I'm curious as well as to what is in store for fans this year.
