    If it happens.
    Yeah fair point

i’d say Fury has made bigger adjustments in fights, like completely switching styles from boxer to brawler v Cunningham after being down. Getting a major cut v Wallin and realising the best way to get hit on it less was smother Wallin and fight inside. Becoming a front foot fighter for the Wilder rematch because boxing on the back foot for 12 rounds is a risky game.

Usyk hasn’t shown those major adjustments on the scale, probably more subtle. One could say that he hasn’t needed to and that’s down to his ability. Although I think he arguably lost the fight to Briedis and he made no adjustments in that fight, just the same thing each round and let it go to a razor thin decision that could easily have gone the away. I’ll be interesting to see how he can adjust v Fury if Fury wants to smother him. Or how he can try to adjust to that ridiculously long reach and jab. People talk about “angles” like with Loma. But Lopez showed if you have a long reach and know how to pivot, these angles and speed become non existent because circumference in which you have to move around becomes far greater than the bigger man with a longer reach if they know how to pivot and jab. So they can control the distance rather easily if they stay disciplined.

Usyk is a great fighter, him and Fury are two of my favourites in the game but I do feel Usyk has a massive uphill battle on his hands here. This isn’t AJ he’s fighting, someone who doesn’t know how to use his size. He’s fighter a master at it, who just also happens to be an excellent boxer, tough as nails and a huge ring IQ.

I can’t wait for the fight, but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if it’s not anywhere near as competitive as we want it to be.

Yes three sensational boxers known for their technical prowess right? I would imagine at least a degree of analysis of what you're saying and comprehending what's being said would come into it before making a post...

Not a rude awakening as fury knows how good usyk is. It's a competitive fight. The only surprise is if one of them wins easy

In his last fights Fury fought Wilder, Whyte, Chisora. They are bums compared to Usyk.

I don`t know if usyk wins for sure, but it will be a very tough fight for Fury.

There is one fact people keep overlooking in this thread and on this forum 'Regarding Tyson Fury'.

Tyson Fury skill for skill has not fought at elite level since Wladimir Kiltschko.

So all this talk, I still keep seeing Fury's hardcore fans going on about? Fury's skills, what what he can do 'He can do this, he can do that' blah blah blah.

Tyson Fury is showcasing all these apparently beyond level skills vs Fighters who skill for skill technically are not World or elite level fighters.

Deontay Wilder was a elite level fight. But skill for skill technically as a fighter, Wilder is not a World level to Elite level fighter.

This is no disrespect to Wilder, because I rate the man. I rate his power, determination, aggression and he does have a solid Jab.

But overall as a pure boxer, Deontay Wilder is not a elite level fighter. Both Anthony Joshua & Usyk are more experienced than Fury at World & Elite level.

It has been a long time since Tyson Fury, has fought at World or Elite level skill for skill. That is the fact of his resume, and his career right now.

That is why what McGuigan is saying, does have some validity.

Dillian Whyte & Derek Chisora these fights have no carry over for the Usyk fight. Fury has done nothing for me in those fights, which prove he is miles better than these other heavyweights.

Anthony Joshua beats both Whyte & Chisora more impressively than Fury. There are many other Heavyweights active right now, who beat both of these fighters up badly.

So when Tyson Fury's hardcore fans keep on stating things like 'Fury has proven that he can adapt and figure out opponents'. I would not be bragging about figuring out domestic to high end European level fighters, who are miles outside their peak 'That is all Tyson Fury has done since Kiltschko'.

I honestly have no idea what Fury's hardcore fans are talking about. Wilder should of been a straight forward fight stylistically for Fury, but instead he was battered and was in a complete mess during the entire third fight.

What Barry McGuigan is stating, in my opinion is very astute. Tyson Fury has not fought at this level for 7 years.

Fury has fought a bunch a fighters who skill for skill, are not world or elite level. The best two boxers pure fighters he has fought are Wladimir Kiltschko & Steve USS Cunningham.

I still make Tyson Fury the favorite. Because the man should be the favorite. But I am honest enough, and perspective enough to know? Fury has not fought at this level of boxing for a very long time. All the stories, and jackanory's that Fury himself and his hardcore fans like to create 'Don't count'. When Tyson Fury steps to fight Usyk, Fury is entering back to elite level.

Even if Tyson Fury would of fought Anthony Joshua in his last fight, that would of been the first time since Kiltschko he had actually fought skill for skill at World to elite level since Kiltschko.

It's funny to watch the narrative change with Usyk. He's been "too small" basically the whole time he's been in the heavyweight decision, and people keep questioning him.

Fury does have more ways to win than Usyk. The good big man will always beat the good little man, and all that.

There's going to be a couple things I'll be looking for. If Fury comes in as heavy as he did in the last couple Wilder fights, I think there's a good chance it will be competitive or favor Usyk absent Fury landing something flush. The other thing that will really help Usyk is if he starts using some of the inside game that Lomachenko uses. He's in the same camp, and Loma is very good at being the smaller man. If Usyk starts being more active in the clinch and hanging on Fury's biceps or landing those shots from the clinch that Loma does, it's going to take some of those tools away from Fury.

Either way, if Usyk pulls off the upset, I hope that would be enough to change the narrative. That would be a massive accomplishment for his legacy.

This will be fun to watch. Probably best for Fury if the fight doesn't go the distance. Neither have tasted defeat as professionals. There will be important challenges for both fighters when they meet. Fury is a student of the game and will be smart enough to take the temperature of the ring before applying serious pressure. Both have good head movement and footwork. Fury's defense might be a little better than Usyk's. I presume that Usyk will spend the first half of the fight walking backwards and sideways. I cannot see Usyk taking multiple clean shots from Fury and continuing. Chisora was beating Usyk until the 7th round and it took considerable adjustments and effort for Usyk to come back and win that fight. And if Chisora wasn't so lumbering and wore out, Usyk probably does not go on to get that decision. I am convinced that Fury's size and speed (general physicality) will be too much for Usyk to overcome. If it turns into a war, I like Fury's chances even better. I'm excited to see it. If Usyk pulls off the upset, the rematch will be epic!
