I think its an assumption and it is one I'd agree with but we shouldn't be surprised if its Benevidez looking worse for wear late on.
He must cut 30lbs, is flabby, only been 12 rounds twice and was dropped very late on in one and again has never fought anyone remotely slick or has great fundamentals never mind with athleticism.
He also has terribly slow feet. He could well be left chasing shadows.

We're going to find out a lot more about Benevidez here than we will Plant that is for sure.

Good fight, wish it would hurry up and get here.

David also controls opponents lead hands and keeps there head in the A slot when pinning them on the ropes. Canelo did this with great effect during the plant fight look for this method to be effective for david too during the fight.
Well, Team Plant already resorted to some tricknology by getting a 22 ft ring for this fight. They're going to try to bamboozle Benavidez and run from him.

I've always said that David was too much for Plant but the gap is closing, especially if Edwards has a fight plan and Plant actually has the discipline to execute.

Canelo won't fight Plant again, in the unlikely event that Plant beats Benavidez.

To be fair, there are very few people who'd want to see Canelo vs Plant again as it was a clear tko for Canelo.

Canelo-Benavidez, who wouldn't love to see that.

Yup and team Benavidez are well aware of thier game plan.Plants going to try and replicate Saunders performance against Lemieux and Plants skilled enough to have some success but eventually that pressure will tire him out mentally and physically. I think Benavidez breaks him down sooner than Canelo and gets the stoppage mid/late rnds. Benavidez just has to be cautious when applying that pressure as he may very well get a taste of what Uzi was served trying to do the same.

He didn’t break a gotdam thing down, he had a focus on camp and his most recent fight but a breakdown this was not. Y’all headlines be killing us! LMAO , Plant can’t win against Benavidez at all nor can Canelo unless he gets hurt which we haven’t seen yet!

Plant definitely has great boxing IQ, but Benavidez puts serious pressure on with fast hands and has better defense than people give him credit for while doing it. The Dirrell KO feels like it was flash in a pan type situation. Just don't think he will land hard enough on Benavidez to keep him off for 12 rounds.

He looks basic in there at times, but man can you imagine the pressure round after round. David just smiling every time he hits you and hurts you. I think David is underrated he's a real throwback fighter seems to throw with bad intentions I mean he was sparring Kelly pavlik at 14. I was talking to fighthype in YouTube comments one time and he mentioned benavidez dropping bivol in sparring recently. I think that speaks to his ability. Bivol is one of the best currently.

I can't say I'm surprised bro, the issue plant will have is not having the gastank to move all 12 rounds, From the accumulative effect of being punched and drained by the front foot pressure of David. Can he avoid those 50/50 exchanges late on and once those feet slow will he be a sitting duck? I think the fight will then resemble rounds 10 + 11 of the canelo fight.
