This is business - what fans might call "weak" has no place in there room.

Ramirez is the draw and Top Rank probably told him he'd get a shot Teo or Haney if he cools his heels.

Those are also both fights Ramirez will probably lose but pay a hell of a lot better.

Ramirez isn't afraid - he's tryna get paid.

I'm a fan of Prograis, but Ramirez is right. 35% is too low. Hell, 40% still is when you break down how much both generate. But Ramirez is willing to take the 40%. There shouldn't be a problem in taking 60% on a fight that is more than generous and people want to see. To not do so is unreasonable and the reason why so many fights don't happen as the rational thinking isn't there.

It's not a duck on Ramirez's end on this one.

Just make the freaking fight . Personally, I can't really understand a contender turning down a title fight , this makes twice for Ramirez. Unless he thinks that he'll lose so he wants to make the bag NOW. Ramirez isn't scared to fight , I refuse to insult a fighter like that. Who knows , maybe he will make more fighting a nobody. I guess we'll see.
Ramirez manager is making it sound like Regis is poorly represented.
I don't care about all of that , I just want to see the best possible fights.

Excuse my ignorance , what does Ramirez do ?

It is business as I said, bad business. And I never said Ramirez is afraid. If he fought and beat Progais, he'd bolster his "A" side position for even greater earning power. Lopez will not become a force @140 and has been recorded asking if he still has it after his last fight with Martin, where he got dropped. So how much more of a draw do you think that fight will be vs a fight with belt holder Prograis? Haney will beat him and knock him way down the ladder.Turning down a title shot now is turning down both present money and potentially more money in the future. But hey, maybe Ramirez is so rich & bad ass that he can afford to turn down guaranteed money and a title shot, for something that may or may not materialize in the future.

He'd lose easily to Prograis so that is a silly argument.

Ramirez is very limited and eeked by Pedraza.

He's going to fight Teo or Haney for more money and that's all there is to it.

The only thing we know is what's in front of us and that is that Ramirez has turned down a championship fight vs Prograis. We don't know if he'll get a fight with Lopez or Haney, and we don't know if he'll be offered more money.

Not taking it but instead fighting a much easier opponent for less is what is making the sport leas enjoyable for diehard fans.
It makes Ramirez look afraid to fight Regis even though I don’t believe he is."

You fail to understand that Ramirez is bringing in most of the $$$. he's been a champ before & in the spotlight longer.... 75/25% is pathetic * 65/35% is still off... Ramirez said he'd do 60/40% .... would u agree that Crawford should get 65/35% for a spence fight? yea me either, even though Crawford brings NOTHING to the table... so was Crawford afraid?
and Regis is not a boogeyman, beating a slow, confused & awkward Zepeda is not impressive who Ramirez already beat...
Just because you want to believe Crawford brings nothing to the table, it doesn't make it true.
