I'll say it again, Nelo's resume stacks up well.

You are as good as your best win is.

His best win is probably past prime Cotto.

You have to ask yourself the honest question? Is Canelo Alvarez beating any all-time great Middle Weights?

Is he beating Roy Jones Junior, Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe, Carl Froch, Chris Eubank Senior, James Toney, Nigel Benn, the list goes on.

A lot of these guys are beating him, in my opinion. Alvarez has been beaten twice now, with the most simplistic and straight forward of game plans.

What makes Alvarez a all-time great is basically the era he has fought in, and his extreme ability to weight drain himself to fight at 147-154 pounds.

Canelo Alvarez statistically due to the belts he has won, and titles 'The man is a all-time great'. But skill for skill, and even physically? I don't think this man is a high all-time great. Alvarez is not a monster puncher, lacks gears, and has under par endurance etc.

Carl Froch also would of beaten Golovkin at the time, they were in talks to fight. By far too physically strong, endurance off the charts, solid jab and extremely heavy power 'It would be a way more competitive fight than Alvarez for Froch, but a fight Carl Froch would still win'.

yeah calzaghe would school him on the cards, his cement feet is a liability. He CAN walk down lower skilled fighters but anyone that can use distance and footwork effectively will be his kryptonite.

Dangle carrot in front of nelo. If he beats benevidez, he is top 20 ATG If Nelo does beat him, we can then have the with the benefit of hindsight discussion afterwards.

his best win is 36 year old ggg. a debatable fight where he used ped's. thats not going to hold up well. also all the ducking he did throughout his career has to be part of the discussion. he doesnt even hold a candle to a guy like hoya but i bet a lot of people would say hes much better cause of recency bias

Somewhere maybe around 20-25 based on names on resumes regardless of rigged cards and financials like FMW Jr when you pull up the catalog of fighters. The guy isn't top 10 by a LONG shot.

He doesn't beat Ward, Toney or RRJ at 168 which is his undisputed weight.

Canelo is the greatest fighter since Pacquiao.

he is the greatest fighter of this era. There is a huge distance between him and Usyk #2

                  crawford is overrated

he beats Ward and Toney easily.

Imagine Ward with a ref actually enforcing the rules or boxing. It’s over for his one landed pillow style.

Toney got outboxed in his prime by complete journeymen several times

Canelo is a tweener. He is somewhere between HOFer and low level ATG.

He is no ATG. He aint no Chavez, Morales, or Marquez. Morales beat a prime Pacman while he was shot to sht for god sake. Morales reached Mt Rushmore with that performance. Look what he did to Maidana too. El Terrible is in another class than somebody like Canelo.

Canelo is in the class of Oscar and Barrera.
