There is great evidence showing that Joshua repeatedly ducked Wilder.

Joshua offered a flat fee of $12 million for the Wilder fight when the fight was worth $100 million. A ridiculous offer designed to kill the fight.

When exposed as a duck after the offer, Joshua denied the fight was worth $100 million and said if it was, give him $50 million and he'll sign tomorrow.

Wilder offered Joshua the $50 million he requested and Joshua still refused to fight, exposing him as the duck again.

Joshua offers Wilder a flat fee of $15 million for a fight worth $100 million and Wilder calls his bluff and accepts. Joshua fights Povetkin instead anyway, exposing him as the duck for the third time.

Are true fight fans calling him a coward ?!?!?
Maybe I have a different definition of the word.

              If anything, he's not confident.
Appears apprehensive, overly cautious when in attack mode.

Fury fans are just in love with his oafish ''personality''.

When you consider who had which belts, drawing power and earnings at the time, I wouldn't consider that offer ridiculous or evidence of ducking.

Joshua was the A side by far. I'd say it was understandable that his side might want to run the show and maximise their profits.

From what I read the Povetkin fight was a mandatory and Wilder changed his mind about accepting that fee.

Thanks. Anyway both Parker and Wilder had one belt and hadn't beaten many notable names as pro's. I don't think there was much separating them. Either one was an acceptable opponent. I think at the time the plan was always to fight Wilder but that got derailed by both guys losing.

                    He’s not a coward

he’s just lost the ability to truly bite down and leave it all in the ring, win or lose. He’s become quite a timid fighter if he’s in deep.

He’s just not the same man that fought Whyte and Wlad. He was hurt badly in those fights and fought back to win. AJ of 2022 would have lost those fights if he was hurt like that.

An 88/12 split for an undefeated vs undefeated undisputed world heavyweight championship unification is absolutely a ridiculous offer. Even a no name mandatory gets 30%.
