Similar fighters. Low output, cement feet, upper body movement, fast hands, body shots, high accuracy, feints/fakes etc.. Both went into one shotter when they moved up.

Canelo slightly outboxes him at 160. He was hell of a counter puncher and extremely creative. Canelo by 7-5 UD or MD.

At 168, fight would have been different. Canelo's smart pressure was scary until Bivol and he even pressed him on the ropes. I don't know how Toney would deal with him. He hadn't output either. Canelo by clear UD.

Only Mayweather could beat Canelo among low output merchants in history of boxing. You need to punch after punch after punch to beat Canelo. And, that wouldn't be enough alone either.

Interesting fight. I think if Toney is in top form, he wins. Anything less than that, I’ll take Canelo.

Canelo lands about 7 clean punches but wins 5 rounds thanks to pity from the judges. Toney knocks him out cold in the 11th with the scorecards at 5-5.

well i mean thats what he did he came in looking like a sack of potatoes. if he couldnt get motivated to come in shape for RJJ then idk that is what he looks like when they tell him he is fighting the best for the title.

It depends on what Toney shows up.

Canelo's a lot more disciplined than Toney was. Toney was prone to getting fat and being out of shape.

At his best, he serves Canelo though
