Just seeing the first two video posts in this thread gave me a vision for the future.
Crawford vs. Broner 2023
Seems like a real possibility these days.Comment

Just said Al bit off too much. I don't think Keef has an issue sitting 18 months and another 9 months before he gets a fights. Seems like a normal fight schedule for him. With everything he said, it's all Crawford's fault to continue the narrative.Comment

Nothing "eruditic" about this subject. The sport is a straightforward mess and is populated with all kinds of strange characters. Why don't you share what you feel about it?Comment

Boxing is dead. Its now something american fighters use to gain 1 big fight and then sail off in the sunset
. All these fighters don't care about history anymore. Whens the last time you saw a brawl? A fight a guy had to dig deep? They fjght once a year, sometimes once every 2 years. This sport is dead.Comment

I don't think anyone - even the "elite" - should be fighting fewer than three times a year. Everyone seems enamoured with this "four belt era" so fighters are going to need to fight more frequently if that situation is going to be sustained. Division hopping needs to stop. I am far more interested in long reigns in a single division than jumping around picking off weak beltholders.
Fans don't help. "There are too many belts but wait, my favourite fighter holds the WBOgus so let's encourage a four belt era." Failing to distinguish titleholders from champions. Apologising for certain fighters and promoters.
The boxing media landscape is trash also meaning a lack of accountability for power brokers. Thomas Hauser is about the only investigative writer we have and he's getting old. Dan Rafael is okay but is far too in love with the sanctioning bodies and their shiny belts. The rest consists primarily of cretins with a smartphone and YouTube channel regurgitating clickbait.Comment
