Well even if he didn't abide by those words for whatever reason they are still the honest truth about the sport coming from one of its ATGs.Comment

I guess I ****ed up your whole ****** little meaning bull**** with the truth, you should probably find a different fighter if your trying to prove a point.
Jack Johnson never fought the best black fighters after winning the title because he said White people weren't going to pay to see two ni**ers fighting for the title.
No, you didn't **** up anything because the focus is on the actual words and the meaning. So Jack Johnson is a hypocrite, big deal.
It doesn't matter if it came from Jack Johnson, Old Mother Hubbard or Old Dirty Bastard.
The fact of the matter is,
you can't dispute any meaning of the quote.
Try again.Comment

Good thing he beat all the best Black fighters before he won the title. Don't say Wills, not the same generation.Comment

I'm not trying anything, just pointing out Johnson is full of **** if he said that. I don't think you will find anybody that doesn't want to see the best fighting the best, unless they have a monetary interest for their fighter not losing.Comment

but how does it take away from the content of what was said?
If you can't explain how,
just fall back and know your role.
btw, there are plenty of posters here who don't want to see the best fight the best,
because of their monetary interest in monies that they'll never see.Last edited by Vasyl’s dad; 09-24-2009, 03:57 AM.Comment

He openly ducked Langford who went on a tear after losing to Johnson, and yes he did beat them but then drew his own color line which is completely opposite to that quote.
