    Marquez is amazing....at featherweight

I'm hearing all these Mayweather fans talking him up to make their boy look better, but Marquez was only good at Featherweight. Even his wins at LW were bloody wars and won on sheer determination.

At 126-130 yes he was great, but Floyd fought him at Welterweight. Marquez put up a valiant display but in the end the weight just slowed him down far to much. I'd suggest everyone watch Marquez at 126-130 if you haven't, the man was actually considered quick and was extremely skilled.

It's sad that Mayweather used him the way he did. I'm sure he would have beat a great like Salvador Sanchez as well had he made him move up to welterweight.

JMM is an ATG and one of the best FW's in history.

At 26' and 30' he made fights look easy. The guy was untouchable.

well also Mayweather was great at FW.

but who is better Jenning or Marquez?

another point is that it not Mayweather winning Marquez but it how he did it.

agreed.. even against casa & diaz he looked small.
he had to pull those victories out with sheer balls.
though mayweather shut marquez out.. marquez has something mayweather will never
have and that's respect for being a true warrior unafraid to take on any comers.

Yes Mayweather was great at 130, but he wasn't 130 on the night he fought Marquez was he?

I think Mayweather was probably at his best around 140, or even 147 (what he was on sat)

Had they both fought at 130 that would have been a darn good fight. The fight we saw showed to much of a decline in one fighter to make an accurate assumption. I will say though, based on Styles Mayweather has the advantage even at 130, but Marquez would have put up a much closer fight than what we saw.

he did it partly with the help of Marquez not being able to hold the weight. This was obvious from the get go, Marquez was top Heavy and could not move very fast.

Mayweather at 126 or 130 was a monster.

He would kill Marquez and Pacquiao at the same time b4 they would be able to even be heard. Get Real.

Marquez couldn't do **** against a Great Fighter at either weight, his @ss was meant to get whopped against Mayweather......

Many believe that Mayweather was going to win but nobody though it was going to be one sided.

They though it was going to be 2 rounds or 3 round more to Mayweather. Something abit competitve.

So respect for a guy like Mayweather when he goes up in weight.

Yea exactly, had the fight been at 130 it would have been competitive. At 135 it still may have been a bit one sided though.

You cannot give a guy respect if fights a feather weight, doesn't even make weight and then can't even stop him. How has he been at WW so long and not fought a single top name?

i'll admit, Pacquiao vs Mayweather is the fight I wan't to see though, they both are similar in size (Pacquiao being bigger and stronger than Marquez)

to be honest, Marquez was only out pointed badly, not beat badly.
