I was watching a few videos dedicated to Mayweather on YouTube yesterday — some about his training, some about his fights — and I came away with a new appreciation. It stands to reason that anyone at the top of their game works like an animal, but it’s another thing to see it broken down. Floyd worked extremely hard, possibly harder than any of his contemporaries. Inspirational, really. Hard to hate on a guy that earned every bit of his success.
- - Y I hate on l'l floydy when he and his crack family provide so much fun for us sorta like the Simpsons.
Yeah, it hard work to run and stink out every fight he ever had save Cotto who beat him up, but not as badly as Maidana did.
Those who never step inside a boxing ring will never truly appreciate his greatness. He made boxing look easy from the outside looking in, being able to anticipate/bait/react/counter in split-seconds in the ring is something only a few can master, and he happened to be the very best at those things from his era.
I was impressed with him up to and including 135, he moved very fluidly and it was good to watch. Beyond that, there were too many passive performances to minimise risk. His body of course, but it wasn't the stuff of greatness to me.
he was on top for 18 years straight. he retired at 38 as p4p number 1, lineal unified welterweight champ and defeated p4p number 2 that year erasing all doubts. he was the best boxer on the planet at 38 years old , what else do you guys want

He wasn't on top for 18 years straight, he took a few retirements. I just wasn't in to him.
I have to give my respect to Floyd, yes he did duck a few, but he gave us much insight with his training and mindset and showing what it takes to be a champion.
I know Jeff Fenech personally and he was a beast in the gym
Because official dudes back up what they say without hesitation when anybody calls em out on their bulls'hit.
So since you went straight to hemming and hawing and doing what you do best, make up far flung excuses, its safe to say your credibility is in the toilet
