Too much free time. As the saying goes, the devil makes work for idle hands.
I believe other sports like American football has effected American boxers with the off/on seasons. There was a guy in my gym, unbelieveable talent. Other boxers would just stop and watch him on the bag, spar, whatever. Amazing amateur career. Turned pro, got caught up in the streets, didn't stay in shape, and got caught in a fight on short notice. Never fought again. The end product people here get to see, there is so much going on behind the scenes.

Every professional fighter or athlete that visited Mayweather while training said they have never seen anything like it. They all said that’s the hardest they have ever seen any athlete train.

A sad but all too common tale. And, yeah, brother, the real pros are putting in work that would make the average man curl up in a fetal position. I have a load of respect for anyone putting in the work.

From the little I’ve seen, I don’t doubt it. Only guy I can think of that’s crazier with his training is David Goggins. These guys inspire me to no end. Greatness is rented. And the rent is due every day.

Man this is so common, over the years Ive seen many that could have been something and life just got in the way and derailed them completely.

It is an amazing phenomenon to be fair.

imagine being such a child that you have to preface what you say with "I've never been a XXXX fan but..."

                  Grow up man.

I mean if you train harder than anyone's ever done you should be able to do things others haven't done, like win titles in 8 divisions, or dare take fights others didn't think you'd dare take like beat GGG at 160. Or best Nelo in a rematch in Nelos prime while your out of yours. Or best people in their backyards, home advantage would be of no use against training demon who trains twice as hard as you?
Nah he was cool with barely outpointing fighters who were already raked thru the coals, and calling himself the best ever.

What you asking for is to take risk and Floyd not built like that. 30% risk or less is standard operating procedure.

Amir Khan took bigger risks than Floyd
