Wonder if Keef is demanding 10 mill to fight ES like he did for Crawford

This fight had to happen sooner or later. Thurman may be a little long in the tooth now that it’s finally happening, but the fact remains, Spence’s best scalps are all Keef’s leftovers.

Yes, I saw him against Barrios, but that comes after a long layoff, which has been his problem of late, and Barrios wanting to fight for his respect after getting dropped by Tank. Hell, Tank could probably drop a lot of guys between 140 and 147. None of them besides probably the top 5 in the division have shown anything to where I would think otherwise. But, Thurman is a special talent, while he may not have looked spectacular after being inactive, there's another level that we've all actually seen him reach, unlike these guys that we're just assuming can get to that level. If he's to fight Spence, he can't come into that fight any other way than at that level, or he's risking permanent damage. Errol will still beat him savagely in the late rounds, but Thurman will put in a valiant effort through 6 or 7 rounds, maybe even have questions in our heads as to who's winning until Spence just breaks him down.

I'm sure Spence won't be happy about having to go back on his word and fight him but it is still a good and very marketable fight that will do good PPV Numbers

Thurman will sell it and Spence don't like him so it should make for a great build up. Spence should just take his anger out on him for not giving him the opportunity when he was the one on top. Thurman still Dangerous though, it won't be easy at all. Spence Retiring Him would be nice to add on his Resume

And once again, he's coming into a fight after being inactive for nearly a year! WBC should be ashamed, making Thurman vs. Barrios an eliminator! That's total BS! How does a 140lb. fighter, coming off a KO loss to Tank @ 140, become involved with an eliminator @ 147???

I'll watch any fight at this point. What are the options? Just give me the date. Make this fight happen ASAP.

The WBA may have ordered it, but it's essentially another in-house fight.

I agree with you on the Barrios becoming part of the eliminator part because, even though he was a regular belt holder before the Tank fight, he moved up after a loss. But, that's not Thurman's fault, he fought who they chose to put in front of him, he didn't make the choice himself. He won the fight, now he's in the position of #1 mandatory.

This is a very good fight. Spence is fighting a guy who topped two of his best competition as well and Thurman will be as ready as he can be for this one. For the first half of the fight, I can see Thurman leading on the cards. What happens after that will tell us which direction the fight goes. Even though it was Barrios he fought last, Thurman looked really sharp in that fight, much more than I thought he would.
