You asked when did Crawford overpriced himself? The moment he decided to walk away from the negotiations and agreed to fight David Avanesyan. He wanted at least $25 million to fight Errol Spence, Jr.

Now that fight is never going to happen because neither himself or Errol Spence will ever receive that type of money to fight each other. Who were the names of these two mysterious hedge fund companies that he was referring to anyway?

One wants the fight for legacy, competition, glory, bragging rights and the fans. While other wants it solely for monetary gain. Bud was always a fake and a phony. He never wanted to fight Spence. He just wanted a retirement paycheck.

Now the fans can see him for the man he really is. Spence would fight this fight for free if he had to.

He agreed to no guarantee. Lay off the crack pipe.

Neither fighter was getting a guarantee anyway. Bud's pay per view history and track record at the box office sealed that deal for him. Besides, that's not how the PBC operates or conducts its business anyhow.

Unless you are a proven box office Draw like Mayweather, Pacquiao or Canelo then you receive no front end money because it's too risky of a proposition. Al Haymon would go bankrupt investing that type of money in Terence Crawford.

Usually you’d expect a counter offer which is what Keith would expect, but Ennis can’t provide no 4-5mil. Who’s putting the money to see this fight. Such quotes as the title benefit Keith because he knows Boots can’t afford him nor does Keith need him. As Keith has said many times, where’s the offer or contract. It’s cool Keith flexed Boots’ mgmt like that. Lol
Bud nobody needs Keith either so who is he gonna fight?

Resumes and metrics reflect the pay. If Boots wants the Keith fight, you gotta pay him proper. I’m not excusing Keith at all, he hasn’t boxed for a hot minute and most fans wouldn’t care if he boxes again, but Keith reserves the right for his demand. What offer amount or narrative where Boots’ team even disclosing?

It’s going to be difficult to leverage that kind of payday with no title and all the inactivity. Maybe some Saudi investor will be interested, outside of that I don’t see where the money is coming from. On the other hand, if Ennis doesn’t think much of Thurman’s worth, why is he calling him out? You can’t say well he isn’t undefeated, he isn’t the champion, his name doesn’t carry any weight…and then justify why you really want to fight him. Kieth can turn right back to him and ask “who are you and what have you accomplished?” and it would be a fair question.

Thurman is looking for one more title shot, he doesn’t want to risk it losing to an up and coming fighter looking to make a name for himself. Also, how would Ennis know if Keith did or didn’t earn $10M vs Manny?

                      Thurman is delusional and irrelevant.
