Thurman was one of the reasons PBC catapulted with its portfolio. It was his numbers on Primetime. Ennis can’t even afford to offer Thurman $500k. Even if Boots got the connect from Showtime to put $2mil in the pot, to Keith, he demand a 90/10 split guaranteed. Keith doesn’t need Ennis unless he can get a nice check. Usually you’d expect a counter offer which is what Keith would expect, but Ennis can’t provide no 4-5mil. Who’s putting the money to see this fight. Such quotes as the title benefit Keith because he knows Boots can’t afford him nor does Keith need him. As Keith has said many times, where’s the offer or contract. It’s cool Keith flexed Boots’ mgmt like that. Lol

Seems like Thurman and Crawford are cut from the same cloth....

Not sure I believe this guy. He says, we're wanting top five. We're not going back. In the next sentence he contradicts, when six and seven also become acceptable. They wanted to fight Avanesyan. Ok that's fine. But he turned you down? Really? Because your a better proposition than Crawford? And it was Avanesyan that turned Ortiz down, not the other way around. So when you weigh up the discrepancies, it's bending the narrative to suit. So is Thurman wanting 10mil just part of that narrative? To make your guy look so feared and avoided? Sure, nobody is in a hurry to fight him, but when the circumstances are right, plenty will.

He didn't. It was the other way around. But it makes it look like you were after a top fighter that avoided you, and another top guy avoided him. It's a manipulated narrative.

Manny buck broke Keith. Physically he may still have it, but dude is mentally broken.

Either way, Keith Thurman would be Terence Crawfords greatest win.

Thurman is trying to cash himself out. He’s not really interested in winning a title. He just wants to get the most money his name can get, then get out of the sport. That’s what he’s holding out for, simple as that.

This is just a duck tactic. Something taught by Haymon. Just a way to say “they couldn’t give me what I wanted” rather than plainly saying “I’m not supossed to fight him”. Same thing Benavidez did to Andrade, expecting more then Canelo money.

Still like Keith though. I get the ploy these guys play.

Do you mean the same ducking over pricing tactics that Terence Crawford is using against EJ; Errol Spence, Jr? You are right. I agree. Crawford doesn't want the fight and never did. He is a coward who is afraid of losing.

                    When did Crawford overprice himself?

They also shot Rashidi Ellis an offer. Highest I’ve seen him is #9 on the ibf rankings.
