Neither Ennis not Ortiz Jr. would have agreed to a six week window like Avanesyan did. Crawford wanted to get at least one fight in this year Avanesyan was likely the only guy in the Top 10 who was deep in training already and willing to agree to the six week window. Instead of gnashing teeth, fans need to understand how this business works.

When has it ever been much better though? We had five years of Mayweather - Pacquiao nonsense which caused me to stop watching until a couple of years ago. Nothing could be worse than that situation.

How you fight Ennis who is contract obligated to Showtime when you just wasted 1 year with Showtime and their Golden Texas Drunk? Even if he wanted to fight Ennis it would be a circus for a contender. Who does that? Rocks continued turn a blind eye to the 4 year unfulfilled IBF mandatory.

Well, at least Ortiz Jr is not calling out, or mentioning Crawford. He probably does when he's asked. In contrast, Ennis is publicly saying he'll take Crawford IN A HEARTBEAT. This knowing that he signed a 3 fight deal with Showtime.
