If somehow PBC don't pull out a Vergil Ortiz fight for Spence next (now or never), I see Ortiz as being Crawfords only choice.

Glad I'm not emotionally invested in any one fighter. Never been.
From what I'm seeing right now, it's best to move on. We'll soon see who actually wants the fight and who is willing to make a big move out of these current contenders next year.Last edited by Bullrider; 11-21-2022, 12:32 PM.Comment

The person who has there ethnicity in their name inherently makes it about race. No matter what happened to his face however many years ago Kell Brook is a better fighter than either Ennis or Ortiz have ever faced. And Spence fought Kell Brook the very next fight after he first suffered a fractured orbital bone against GGG. I didn’t hear any of these excuses then. Even to this day people are still talking about how Spence break’s orbital bones without ever mentioning the fact that Brook had just had surgery for a broken orbital previous to when he fought Spence. And Shawn Porter retired because he lost to Crawford. He had absolutely no plans of retiring before he suffered a loss in such devastating fashion. Its called getting retired. And what did Spence do to Porter? Barely won a split decision? No one gets credit for what they did to someone in a split decision unless his name is Errol Spence and there are people trying to make excuses for him ducking a fight with Terence Crawford. And since when do boxing fans make so many excuses?! This is a disturbing trend.
Someone always has to make it about race. I've been a Crawford fan but looks like he's adopting the most money, least risk career path and may end up with no career defining fight. MexicanFistology's not wrong. Brooks face has already been smashed in by GGG and Spence. Porter was at the end of his career and Spence already did him although Bud stopping him was still impressive. Now Bud's 35. I'd be shocked but thrilled if he took on Ennis or Ortiz. . .

You are aware that Spence broke Kell's other orbital bone and not the surgically repaired one? Yes?The person who has there ethnicity in their name inherently makes it about race. I am aware. And are you aware that Kell Brook did not suffer an injury to any of the orbital bones at all in the Crawford fight? Yet it doesn’t keep people from bringing up his previous orbital bone injuries that happened years ago as an excuse as to why Crawford stopped him in that fight. At least against Spence he suffered an injury that is connected to his previous injury because all of those orbital bones are part of the interconnected maxillary, ear, nose and throat canal. And yes I expect to enjoy the Crawford vs Avanesyan match because as a boxing fan I don’t equate fame and popularity with skills and ability. If that were the case I would be watching Jake Paul’s fights.

Plenty of time to make things right in 2023. Ortiz vs Stanionis fight is probably being negotiated by both camps as we speak. Same thing might be happening with Thurman vs Spence.
Which leaves us with potential Crawford vs Ennis. Why not?Comment
