It isn't, and I'm personally uninterested in a rematch. Beterbiev - Bivol is a priority. Lots of good opponents for Canelo at 168.

Based on what we saw from the first fight it just doesnt look like a winnable fight for him whether its May, September or anything else. I dont think it really hurts his legacy that much anyway because of all the weight class jumping and him being so deep into his career.

Teddy Atlas is worried that Canelo can win the rematch

Lol legacy. Nobody apart from nuthuggers will remember Canelo.

You don't remember cherry pickers and judges in your pocket fighters.

But pros and industry never talk bad about Canelo or his competition. historians writing about Canelo supersede rogue comments on the internet discrediting Canelo. trolling is futile

Canelo can keep improving his legacy by beating other fighters. Bivol ain't the only fighter on the planet.

But, beating Bivol can make him around top 5-6 ATG. Even SRR got a$$ whooped and stopped by Maxim at 175 when he was at his MW prime.

                Matters who you ask.

Unbiased fight fans will say Nelo has fought better comp and should be allowed to have a tune up.

Haters will be hateful and aim their insignificant wrath at whoever Nelo fights next.
Never once aiming that attention at their own hero

In their eyes, GG vs gas station attendant Falcao is a FOTY candidate.

Not detrimental at all IMO... nor would it be detrimental to not fight him again at all. The 'aging Bivol' reason makes no sense however - I think Dmitry is a little younger than Canelo and certainly has less pro-miles on his clock and has taken considerably less damage over the years given his more defensive style. Not seeing how delaying it improves Canelo's chances in that respect - although seeing how his hand's responded to surgery by taking a more winnable fight first makes sense I guess.

Honestly though not caring deeply about a rematch here - the only one I want to see is Bivol vs Beterbiev - although as the TS points out it seems like that ain't happening any time soon.

Good points bro, man I've not seen one ounce of excitement for a ggg/falcoa matchup. I'm disappointed by ggg took him 9 rounds to come to life against canelo he can't pull the trigger on anyone that's not the muratas and szeremetas of the world. If he insists on fighting he should be defending his belts against top opposition only. I'm not sure why he is still fighting showed no urgency in canelo 3 that was his chance at redemption and he did nothing at all he lost a fan that day.
