Who remembers Kid Gavilan, Tony Zale, Carmen Basilio, and a host of others? These were all great fighters but are now mostly forgotten except by the most die-hard fans.
But no one except boxing fans remember most boxers anyway. And Spence isn't Floyd or something. If Crawford ko's Spence, it isn't like he will forever be remembered.

We fans all want the fight. Apparentlly so do Crawford and Spence. Haymon is the guy that offered zero guarantee. Spence is his fighter, if anyone is getting screwed it is Bud. And Haymon turned down a simple meeting to even hear a money proposal.

The more I see how the Spence fans are over the top with it, I am kind of laughing that Bud walked away. Spence's biggest win is Porter, who almost beat him, who Bud then stopped. Bud called for the Spence fight for years, Haymon blocked it.

Crawford needed a fight, now he has one. After that maybe he can get an Ortiz fight or a meaningful fight at 154. I don't see Spence fighting Crawford till Crawford starts to fade. Obviously you feel differently but that is how I feel and I'm not the only one.
The undisputed WW title, I thought that would be obvious as the real crown ***el, that is the big bird in the hand, and he would have made a lot more money than he is getting for DA.

      • It's true he's accomplished a lot but there's no denying that fighting Spence (and beating him) would most def enhance his legacy big time.

        T.M.T. that avatar's dope.

Spence ain't bigger fighter than your idol. Their fight night weights are on par. In fact, your idol is natural WW who can fight at MW. His fight night weights were around 154 when he was 135. His fight night weights are around 165 nowadays. His off days are almost 180.

Spence started at his natural weight. Your idol started as a giant at midgets' weight. That's all. It's pathetic I gotta explain your idol to you.

I don't think it means what you think it means.

4 months of negotiations and it did not surprise me that the fight didn't happen.

He has the same people as Spence except he's been in 3 divisions and don't have Danny Garcia on the books but hell everyone Spence fought he beat worst.

                • Everyone is leaving out the fact that dud LIED about 2 mystery hedge funds offering 25M gaurantees each. One hedge fund offered 10M gaurantee each 20M total. At 70$/PPV 400k buys will more than surpasses that gaurantee. What dud did was LIE and call it a 50M total gaurantee to both fighters. No one gonna do that. Unless the fight did almost a million buys they wouldn’t make back their money. That’s why dud won’t say who made this mystery offer because 1. He lied about the value of the offer 2. He knows it was never gonna be a possibility. If dud wanted the fight he could’ve taken 60/40 no gaurantee the fight should do 400 to 600k buyrate he makes around 15M for the fight and if he wins like he claims he will the paydays after have no ceiling. He could move up he could fight boots he could go fight josh Taylor the world would be his oyster. The reality is he took less to fight a euro bum. He don’t want the fight anyone with eyes and a brain can see that. Trainers promoters everyone saying the same thing rn EXCEPT dud duckford zealots

                  • Became undisputed by fighting cab drivers, FOH. No sane person buying this crap. Hopefully Avanesayan or whatever his name is knocks this clown out and fights Spence

I see it as a bird in the hand being the titles are there if you want them, its real and presented, to walk away is taking the bird in the bush hoping the opportunity comes around again.
