Yes, Floyd's entitled to make money he is of working age. He isn't retirement age yet, that's 67 years of ageComment

The issue isn't that he does them. It's that enough people want to pay to watch them. If they stopped, he'd stop.
Can't begrudge a man making that kind of money the easiest way possible.Comment

That's the problem with just being a money chaser. You lose sight of the big picture.
Floyd fully accepted B-Side with De La Hoya and beat the odds to become the money draw. Now it's easy money.
If Crawford had accepted his B-Side with Spence and found a way to win, he might be making Mayweather money by now.Comment

One of my favorite boxers, Roy Jones continued to fight until he was 49. He got KO’d in 2004 when he was 36 and he never recovered. He continued to fight for another 13 years getting pummeled by guys that weren’t fit to carry his jocks while in his prime.
Was he desperate for the limelight? Was it a desperate attempt to remain relevant? Roy did tarnish his legacy especially to the younger generation.
Joe Louis fought over 50 exhibition fights. Was it desperation for the limelight or to remain relevant?
Pacqiao will be fighting a Korean YouTuber next year. Would you call a desperation for the limelight and to stay relevant?
I mean it has to be, right?
Louis actually needed the money in fairness. It was a different time, most of the greats had to come back.
The strange thing with Floyd is he’s only chasing the attention. He doesn’t need the money and he’s not looking to add anything to his accomplishments so he’s purely just chasing attention and will sink incredibly low to get it. It’s actually pretty sad.Comment

I don't feel its like that at all, he loves making money and boxing is what he knows best and so easy for him to make massive amounts for fooling around that's his primary reason, he is insecure and so is easily baited by loads of media that follow him around wherever he goes so they get controversial press to feed outlets like this forum, he still dominates airplay because the media are always on his case, his insecurities are inbuilt from a life that only knows boxing, he reminds me of a boxing Michael Jackson, brilliant but also twisted by the life he was lead down.
I think it’s purely for attention tbh. The choice of opponents suggest that to. You can see from those press conferences he doesn’t enjoy being around these influencer clowns, but he knows he has to be in his desperation for relevance.Comment

Floyd reminds me of Cristiano Ronaldo in many ways. Great champions but also insecure egomaniacs, pathological narcissists who can't stand not being the center of attention and hate to see athletes in the same field doing well. I could never understand how a grown man can be a fan of another man with such character.Comment

Yeah Roy couldn’t let it go for over a decade, it was incredibly sad to watch him fighting in Russia, Poland, Latvia. Roy was also desperately chasing a Cruiserweight title that he wasn’t anywhere near capable of winning at that point in his career.
