System sucks. It's mathematically impossible for people to deal with all the mandos. 4 sanctioning bodies requiring a defense once a year or so? Fighters fight twice a year if lucky.

Fighters should seriously just stop accepting these titles, order a nice looking belt from Amazon and during post-fight interview state they only care about TBRB or Ring magazine, or something equivalent.

Yes, and we fans can help them do this by focusing on the opposition a fighter has faced rather than how many shiny belts they have collected.

Of course he is, he’s the promoter of AJ and Hrgovic.

I don’t like what he’s doing but I don’t blame him for doing it. Any other promoter would do the exact same.

The much bigger problem is the IBF are enabling it.
This. Frank Warren said in an iFL interview recently he will be pushing for the WBOgus to call their mandatory for Joyce as soon as its their turn. All these promoters are lying, self-interested scum. Supporting one over another is low IQ nonsense. "Muh favourite promoter."

Doesn't this just highlight the ******ity of having four sanctioning bodies in this quest for "undisputed" status? I resisted the WBOgus for the longest time because three was more than enough, but silly fanboys were like "but muh favourite fighter holds it" rather than thinking about what was best for the sport.
I hated the WBO in the 90’s myself. It still annoys me now when people like Johnny Nelson call themselves “World Champions”. It was before my time but the IBF were no better in the 80’s. King propped them up just like Warren and Arum propped up the WBO a decade later.

The most frustrating part about this ruling by the IBF is it goes against the interest of the sport. We always say we want one champion per weight class and that ABC morons are standing in the way of that.

They do what’s best for their fighters and more so their own pockets.

Makes me wonder whether the IBF are in Matchroom’s pocket like the WBO with Warren and Arum.

I don't see how it even makes sense because thell get more sanctioning money from a undisputed title fight. Always something in boxing that puts stumbling blocks on these fights an its draining if your a fan of the sport

Makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever. Boxing always shoots itself in the foot. It’s the most self-destructive sport in the world.

If TYSON FURY can take a fight before undisputed, then Usyk can do so as well.

Satisfy your mandatory, Usyk...you've guys have been holding the heavyweight division hostage for too long.

Maybe Hearns just doing his job.
Hirjovik can now ask for step aside money or if not fight for a belt.
                    it's a no-brainer from Hearn.
I dont like it but he's just doing what a promoter of a boxer shoukd do.
Getting his fighter as much money as possible.
BTW I don't like Hearn just calling it as I see it.

I don’t like him either but he’s only doing what any other promoter would do. The IBF are the one’s at fault here.
