The proposal was made Tuesday afternoon during the ratings portion of this year's annual WBC convention in Acapulco, Mexico.

Who are they fooken kidding? Keith will NEVER go for that fight unless he gets a divorce. LOL
He wants either easy Tank fight money or a HUGE name to help him retire permanently.

Vergil and Errol whoop Thurman. Not sure what he has done recently to deserve this WBC rating.

Hopefully EJ or Ortiz get rid of him.

He, or GBP, don't seem in hurry to fight Crawford!

Thurman has enough in the tank to school the young guns Ortiz and possibly Boots in a close one, but Spence or Crawford would be a different story

Keef has much better defense, footwork, power, stiff jabs, good combinations from angles, set ups and traps for the uppercuts whether inside or outside, great counters... He's just a better all around boxer than Virgil with experience against champions. I 'm not even a fan, but I find myself defending him on here often because the way people underappreciate his skillset, power, and talent.
Well said, you have to remember most on this site are on a popularity bandwagon with little attention to skillset, talent or experience. You don't have to be a fan of a fighter to acknowledge his abilties over your preferred fighter. Been a fan since the 60's and this popularity thing, along with internet sensationalism, 15 belts per division, the best fights not being made due to promoter, network and sanctioning bodies Greed is ruining the sport I love so much its sad. It was lot more definitive on who was better back in the day because they all fought each other and got rematches if it was close thats what made the great ones great and a loss not defining greatness, it was just iron sharpening iron

McKinson was tapping Ortiz up the whole fight and had him visibly frustrated in his corner, but he possesses zero power which is why Ortiz eventually walked through to get the KO. Keith is a veteran with major pop in his punches, great IQ, punch selections, and footwork. It would get ugly for Virgil.
Thurman doesn’t even fight. Where u bn

I agree with you for the most part. But he’s not the same. Just a name now not anything to fear. More of what could’ve been
