I think Haymon and Schaefer probably made the right call considering De La Hoya has been a liability due to personal problems for some time now, however, there was definitely a lack of transparency from what I remember at least. I believe there was definitely some form of premeditated plan by Haymon and Schaefer.
It was definitely premeditated. If I remember correctly they offered Oscar 300 million for GBP. That’s one hell of a consultation prize.

I am not choosing any sides in this debate. I am just speaking truth, facts, proof and history. De La Hoya has always faced the biggest and stiffest challengers of his era. So he has every right to speak on this particular topic.

He always gave us fight fans the fights that we wanted to see and never allowed the lack of money to prevent him from doing so. In my opinion, he was a throwback fighter. He was both fan friendly and crowd pleasing while delivering us the fights that the public demanded to see.

He never ducked no one as far as I can recall.

It’s true Oscar is a racist jealous drug addict. He cries about Floyd/Haymon every 6 months.

So guys like Hopkins, Dirrell and any other fighter who said "I'll never lose to a white boy" you condemn right? Yes or no will do, but you don't have the balls to answer that one. Not defending Oscar. F**k that weirdo if I am being honest. Not sure how Spence ducking another black man has to do with racisim but knock yourself out with that.

Anyone with common sense knows that PBC holds back their fighters and stops certain fights from happening. Look how often their star fighters fight. And when they do fight, who are they matched up against? Ppl who have no chance to win. Its easy to see PBC tries as much as possible to keep everything in-house and doesn't work well with Golden Boy or Top Rank. PBC attracted a lot of fighters because they let them earn bigger purses than other companies were, but in exchange for that, they fight against stiffs or they mostly sit on the shelf for long periods of time, which are both bad for a fighters career. But these young guys today care more about being able to go buy a bunch of shiny ass ***elry and post pictures of their houses and cars on the internet for attention, rather than stay busy and face tough fighters in order to reach their full potential as fighters. So this arrangement works well for this type of immature mindset. PBC worked with Top Rank for Wilder v Fury because they thought Wilder would win. When Fury got dropped in the 1st fight, they eagerly said run it back, thinking it waa a fluke. When Wilder got his ass taxed, PBC coached him to start conspiracy theories to cast doubt and make ppl believe they didnt see what they saw. Only a very soft brained person couldn't see that plot crystal clear. Its no different than election deniers. In fact, its a page right out of that same book. So thats why I don't care for the PBC too much subterfuge and snake oil

Spence shouldn't even get involved here. He's the guy who promoted not being a PBC fighter means you're a nobody; you're on the wrong side of the street.

Neither Fishnets nor Al are good for boxing. Both have done nefarious and both have sabotaged big fights. But at least Al isn't a cross-dressing druggie who likes up his you-know-what.
