One of the biggest MYTHS is that Fighters as "STOLEN FROM OSCAR" like they're property of some sort and that Oscar discovered all these fighters which is SO FALSE

NO, Oscar was offered a Buy Out, reason being is that "INVESTORS" (AEG being a BIG ONE at that time) wasn't happy as far as him being "The Face/The Name" but he was in and out of rehab, Allegedly showingw up to Meetings and Events Drunk, High, Hung Over or all of the above

he chose not to sell so Haymon decided to create his own situation but here is the big thing people leave out...Fighters Was Given A Choice, only Lucas Matthysse decided to stay! I think GBP did indeed have some sort of Agreement in Place with some fighter like Leo Santa Cruz and Haymon bought that out and Leo went over too and if I remember correctly Khan as well

It is a reason why Investors left After Haymon and Mayweather Split and the Schaefer Fall Out. Emotional Oscar blew up after Canelo vs Lara was made Allegedly, he felt like they was trying to Set Canelo up I don't know but being that he was in Rehab once again at that time Reports that he left Rehab and had some sort of Blow Up with Schaefer

It was Schaefer, Haymon and Eric Gomez making those Stacked GBP card back in the day. You can just ask the fighters honest, they say the same about Oscar how he really didn't care much he mostly only showed up for Canelo

Trying to get all the Mexicans riled up so they can sell Spence vs. Fandora.

Gotta admit, PBC knows how to wiggle.

So mad bro, so mad that Bernard Hopkins, Marvin Hagler and SSR are in my top 5 ATGs. I'm so mad I made several hundred dollars every May and September betting on Mayweather. Keep going on about skin color, it obviously matters a lot to you, much more than it will ever mean to me. What an absolute loser.

GBP loses a little control over the fighter, and if we’re truly being honest that’s what this is about. When you don’t have a long term contract the fighter and Al have all the leverage, which is how Al likes to negotiate. That’s why he’s the best.

Oscar got salty when they tried to buy him out. He’s a drug addict and a liability and they didn’t want to do business with him anymore. That’s when he found out about the contracts. Al and Richard felt Oscar would cave without a roster but he didn’t. Part of me admirers Oscar for sticking to his guns but look at GBP now. In 2013 they had surpassed Top Rank now they’re a shell of themselves.
Oscar got outsmarted by more astute businessmen than himself. He essentially got played. It happens all the time in life, but surely you can understand why Oscar would feel aggrieved.

I think Haymon and Schaefer probably made the right call considering De La Hoya has been a liability due to personal problems for some time now, however, there was definitely a lack of transparency from what I remember at least. I believe there was definitely some form of premeditated plan by Haymon and Schaefer.

It's good to see grievances that's bottled up inside getting let out. We'll see if something good comes out of this.
