I REFUSE REFUSE REFUSE REFUSE to believe Floyd Mayweather is more popular than ODH. I am sorry, I am as big a fan of Floyd as anyone but I find that hard to believe.

I don't know why anyone would hate a good showing for this.

Any good ppv numbers are good for boxing and shows that new fans are coming on board.

Sometimes I wish though on events like these, there were more sparks so casual fans would become more interested.

Any good number is a good number for boxing.
actually it would be horrible for fight fans. it would only embolden them to show more ppv of disgraceful match ups like a undefeated welterweight vs a career featherweight. This is only good for hbo & rich powerful boxers, bad for boxers who have to give up fairness in order to make some money & for fans who continue to get swindled by unfair abomination match ups.

what do you mean too bad? its more exposure for the sport of boxing, REGARDLESS IF IT INVOLVED MAYWEATHER. Take your disliking for Mayweather out of the equation for a second. Boxing went head to head with UFC on the same night. The UFC PPV was mainly shown in bars, and homes also. However, the boxing PPV was shown in homes, bars, AND THEATERS. The fact that our sport branched out to show it in theaters gives up a 1 up on the UFC IMO. If these numbers are accurate, TAKE IT AS A WIN FOR THE SPORT OF BOXING IF YOU CALL YOURSELF A FAN OF BOXING, because we know that you won't acknowledge anything Mayweather.

I thought it would do about 800k. As the fight neared though it seemed like it was getting a lot of love from everyone including MMA fans and you know Mayweather now has the WWE fans interest as well. Also, for the first time I had a long conversation with a few people at the liquor store the day of the fight about the fight. People were interested in this fight. I still don't think it pulled in 1.6 but I would not be shocked if it did a million now.

"imprves"? That's a wee bit of an understatement.

I think the number will be approx the same as Hatton-Pac (800-900), On the HIGH side.

Or, about double what Pac did with marquez. of course, pac-JMM didn't have the same type of promotion.

                Pac-Mayweather will do 3 million+ PPV buys.

                You heard it here first.

Like I said my girlfriend and my sister work for directv, and they were told about the amount of buys directv was getting. Combine that with the fact your not including cable and other satelitte service providers, and bam, It wasn't to see that coming.

I usually don't brang and talk ****...but after the replies I was getting, I think I have every right to at this moment.lol
I saw that thread you're talking about and i agreed with you. I predicted 1 mill all the way. You were right.(hopefully)
