From way out they have been saying that it is Whyte. Hrgovic is easier to fight than Wallin.

At this point they will pick the easiest fight with the most upside.

Whyte will also have the biggest payout as he is easily the biggest name. No downside for a mid 30's HW coming off 2 losses who needs to maximize his bank account and get a win. Whyte needs to cash out, so make it a win/win.

Fury fight fell through and he is signed to fight someone else and then has a huge unification bout with Usyk on the horizon. Wilder is looking at Ruiz with both sides in the same camp.

Silly to call out those names if you cannot get them. Anyone one of those three names he said out loud is a logistically makeable fight even if they are not particularly great fights, and winnable for a guy who needs a win badly.

It was only 18 months after the Fury fight. Strange how the narrative now is that Klitschko suddenly turned into a shot old man after being in his prime as a long-reigning champion when he fought Fury.

So if we leave out Klitschko, Fury himself has fought one name too, and has spent the last 4 years fighting him and signing rematches when an undisputed fight with Joshua was there and ready to go last year.

Finkel posted in writing that they were offered more money to fight Joshua than they were Fury.

Other that that, Joshua has constantly fought far higher ranked opponents than anyone else in the HW division (apart from Chisora, but he lost nearly all of them).

Hello Rob, respect your opinion but have to ask why would we leave out klitschko in the case of Fury? He broke his winning streak and dethroned him as a champion.
