Lets not get this twisted....Spence's resume at 147 pounds is better, but certainly not his accomplishments in total. Crawford is a 3 division champion and made history unifying the junior welterweight division. More over, Crawford would be the overwhelming favorite over everyone on Spence's resume but Crawford has been avoided....that's just a fact. Spence on the other hand came down from 154 to fight as a welterweight and never unified a single division.

He was trying to become undisputed after beating three champions, with Crawford holding the last strap. It's laughable that you defend a fighter that could have accomplished undisputed by beating one guy but chose money over legacy. To even think that Spence was giving him a shot when all Bud did was talk about how bad he wanted Errol only to make Avenseyn the priority behind the scenes for a guaranteed payday. Easy money, that sounds like the norm for Crawford. Meanwhile, Spence will continue with fighters like Thurman, an accomplished champion with one loss to a legend, or Boots, a top contender that everyone is avoiding. Errol chooses to get it out of the mud like a real champion that will be remembered as such. If I were him, I would move up after proving my point against these other fighters, and leave Crawford to try and get money off of the guy below the real guy.
