Crawford seems like he's not worried about legacy--he will be happy with the big money & will retire soon. Too bad--we wanted to see the Spence fight.

Crawford should be at the tail-end of his prime. Sitting 12 months between matches these past few years does nothing for "legacy" or for his bank account, or keeping him sharp, to say nothing of public perception. The negotiations started in earnest, what, 5 months ago? If anything, Crawford had been calling for the Spence match dating back to 2020, if not earlier. Spence is no coward and does deserve the A-side, but that stated, if Crawford agreed to everything money, etc, but one detail was the sticking point (transparency), then it was prudent to work on a contingency with another contender in order to stay in keeping with his stated agenda to be active no later than December. IF Spence and Company want the match then they need to rethink the stated sticking point. Nothing wrong with activity for either man. If this match-up turns into Bowe/Lewis then so be it. Neither Crawford or Spence are cowards or "unconcerned" about key points such as activity, business, legacy, monies.

As for other mountains to be climbed, good on either for looking to climb them if they can't stop negotiations from eating up their inherent limited shelf life.

Sadly, I think you're right. Depending on what Spence does in the next couple years, he may be left in the same boat. Great fighters for their time only. These two needed each other more than they realize.

He's not beating Jermell. Crawford got ya'll fooled. He's not as bad as he makes himself out to be. Spence pulled his card. That was some sucka shyte he pulled strait up. The simple fact that he had a fight in his back pocket tells me how serious was about the spence fight.

I was really riding with Crawford until he pulled that. I thought that WAS really suspect on his part. That has to make you wonder.

Crawford would get pummeled if he stepped into the ring with Charlo. Jermell is just as athletic as Crawford, maybe more, he can box his ass off, and has way more power. If Kavaliauskas had Crawford on wobbly legs, when Charlo catches him, he might curl up in the fetal position. Not to mention, Crawford is a true, if not small, 147 lber. Jermell is a big 154, soon to move up to 160. Bud would get stretched.
