He'll soon be 35, boxing's a young man's game, what are you gonna do.
And just like that, Loma gets old overnight

Thats a terrible analogy. Loma at 135 is 9 pounds from where he started.
A bit harsh. Skill set's unreal, and tbh, he's undersized at 126, never mind 135.
As someone said above, he's made his own bed being up at LW for this long but he's looked up against it and monumentally smaller every time at this weight class, so size still has to be factored in to considering whether he's actually good or just a hype job.
Put it this way, imagine if Andre Ward spent the final half of his career up at HW. Or Mayweather went ahead and fought loads of killers up at MW
Floyd fought up to 154. His 5th weight class and 24 pounds higher than he started.
Ward at heavyweight would be over 30 pounds heavier than he started.

Since when did fighting once a year become "beneficial and preferred"? Mayweather fought 6 times from 36-38. If you aren't fighting often enough to keep your fangs sharp, you'll eventually wind up losing or looking bad against a nobody. In Loma's case, he literally went to war. I can understand an off night after coming outta hell, straight into the ring.Comment

Why though? He's got no titles. He's no longer the "boogey man". He doesn't bring a big payday. He's just a guy at this point. If anything people should be less likely to fight him. If I'm Haney I'm not wasting my time on Loma.Comment

Loma is naturally much smaller guy than Floyd, and started much later. It’s one thing to be 130 at age 20 than to be 130 at age 30.Comment

Loma won his first Olympic Gold in 2008 at the age of 20 at 125, so it's not really different bruh. He's fighting now at a weight class 10 pounds heavier than when he won gold at 20, Floyd moved up much more weight period.Comment
