Wouldn't have changed anything. Guy fought 10 rounds against Herring. You think Ortiz didn't prepare for a 12 round fight? You've got to be kidding. Ortiz fatigued the same reason why every opponent of Loma fatigues. Loma's activity level is so hight and he connects so cleanly that it takes all the energy out of you. It happens to every single opponent of his. Plus Ortiz is nearly 10 years younger.

You do realize that guys train for a 12 round fight, right? I mean I hope you do considering how long I assume you've been watching boxing. (Actually, many train for 15 to 24 round fights, to push their conditioning so they're not tired.)

Loma put a serious beating on Ortiz. It was a miracle that his left eye didn't close, but his nose was busted up badly. Loma only suffered that abrasion for the cuff of Ortiz's glove. That pretty much says everything. Many shots by Ortiz were blocked that some said landed. MANY. Once again, Compubox is way off. But the point I'm making is that the punishment Loma gave Ortiz and the pace Loma set is what made Ortiz fade down the stretch.

Anyway, if you didn't know, now you know.

        Because experience doesn't matter, right?

u cant have an excuse that someone is small at a weight class when they have been at it for years and could move if they wanted to, lets see how he looks v haney, could be a nail in his coffin or he could have a better night, when u are a bit smaller in stature u have to execute a great game plan for the whole fight

He showed guts in the last 4 rounds to make sure he got the decision.

Also he was lucky that his foe has never gone 12 and his experience helped him out. He was at one point his sparring partner so he was not in awe with him and new what he was getting into.

His next fight should me more telling.
He tried. But much like Teo, Ortiz took it away from him and when he did get the angles, Ortiz was still solid on defense and Loma is just a tad slower than before. There will be fighters that actually have the ability to take away your strengths, it's what you do after that that matters and he pulled it out.

I really fear for your mental health when Haney beats Loma. One of the most unhinged posters I've seen here in awhile, my goodness

Lmfao exactly. Spence damn near died, came off a 15 month layoff and dominated Danny Garcia. He then came off a 16 month layoff after an eye injury and stopped Ugas.

Usyk went through the same situation as Loma with a longer layoff and still beat up Joshua. The excuses here are hilarious

                  Loma is a weird one

He’s seems to fluctuate between god tier and ‘above average’

I mean he’s lost twice in his short career

Had competitive fights against guys that aren’t amazing

And has dominated very good guys

Ultimately I don’t think he’s as good as some originally thought but I don’t think he’s as bad as some of his haters claim

I think Haney, Garcia and Tank are all 50/50s

I think loma has been really gun shy . Against someone that just covers up , he's gonna go to town on him . Fighters that bring it to him though will give him a tough time. He's gonna have to fight all 12 rounds as if it were his last 4 if he thinks he's gonna have a chance of beating Haney .

He’ll likely do better against Haney than Ortiz. Haney might not be able to handle the high pace and rythm as well as Ortiz did.
