Biggest fall from grace in Boxing I've ever seen.

Edward John Hearn has experienced one of the biggest falls from grace I've seen in sports. He's gone from being a extremely popular promoter here in the UK, with the exception of some Fury fans, to an outright laughing stock and his name/brand has been forever tarnished, all due to how badly he's mishandled the Benn scandal. I was a big fan of his prior to this especially when he was going at it with Shelly Finkel in the AJ - Wilder negotiations, now I can't help but feel like he duped me there too.

He’s hung himself with a rope tied up by his own lies. I saw through Hearn years ago. I’m honestly surprised it’s taken this long- have to give Hearn some credit in that regard, he conned the feeble minded for years.

He had a much more loyal fanbase though. I’ve never seen a promoter develop that sort of cult following. He could honestly do no wrong in a lot of their eyes. This Benn fiasco seems to have finally opened a lot of their eyes though.

It has hurt his credibility, but tbh the biggest problem is that him leaving Sky was ******, and his stable has gotten weaker in recent years. It was because of those reasons that he went to such lengths to defend Benn. A limited prospect trading on his dad's name wouldn't have been as important to him back when undefeated AJ was doing big numbers, or when he was boasting about his '$1B war chest to take over America', but things change and now he needs all the attractions he can get.
