It has hurt his credibility, but tbh the biggest problem is that him leaving Sky was ******, and his stable has gotten weaker in recent years. It was because of those reasons that he went to such lengths to defend Benn. A limited prospect trading on his dad's name wouldn't have been as important to him back when undefeated AJ was doing big numbers, or when he was boasting about his '$1B war chest to take over America', but things change and now he needs all the attractions he can get.

Hearn is a charlatan, he doesn’t really know Boxing, I mean look at the first big fight he got behind: Haye vs Harrison- a complete disaster. He doesn’t have that ability to build fighters like a Frank Warren or a Bob Arum but with a platform like Sky behind you, you can mask that. You can sign ready built stars like Froch, Groves, DeGale, Bellew, Cleverly, Chisora, Brook etc. You don’t have that same privilege at DAZN.
