Yes, that’s how I understood it growing up, and I also understood it derived from ‘thugee’, a Hindi term relating to bandits going rounding robbing and kicking heads in on the Indian subcontinent.

When I’ve seen the term used in American pop culture, however, I’ve never seen it not apply to a black hombre.

You're the one who's made up you mind not me, you've decided everyone who's white is racist and by design any system in the west is actively trying to oppress people and yet people die trying to get to the west.

Funny isn't it that the apparent "institutional powers" that are oh so racist and oppressive doesn't stop anyone from making life threatening journeys and leaving their apparently less racist country to make it to the west.

And doesn't stop people who you claim are "marginalized" from becoming millionaires and crying from their privileged positions about how cruel and racist America/The west is and how they're held back it's beyond a joke TBH.
