Negative. Spence will fight Thurman or Ennis or something and then move up after that.

After this debacle he will never give Crawford the opportunity.

But it reminds me of what Floyd said. :

"so let's tell the Manny Pacquiao story. So this guy Manny Pacquiao goes to welterweight, he lost to Timothy Bradley...no matter how you cut it, slice it or weigh it, he LOST to Timothy Bradley. Gets knocked out by Marquez. He come back, he go the distance with a lightweight [Algieri], and now he's all of a sudden, the mandatory for my title. "

His point was, mandatory is when whatever org wants to force a fight based on an 'eye test' performance, not necessarily that they did anything worth it.

Which is why it's silly to blame Canelo for mandatory Yildirim.

WBC picked Keef because there's nobody else.
Its not because nobody else is there, ratings have been bought and sold in boxing forever, its nothing to slip a good sized cheque under the table to ensure a rating that leads to a title fight and nobody has to answer for it and the public doesn't care, so for the likes of the WBC its money for jam.

So Thurman became WBC mandatory beating a 140 guy, who just came from a stoppage loss to a lightweight.

            A garbage fight.

While it’s not the fight we wanna see, what’s wrong with a former two belt champion (simultaneously) with only one loss (that loss being a razor thin split decision to a boxing legend) getting a title shot?

Whats wrong with it is that it is not Spence offering him it, its that its being mandated, its the ABC org saying that his 1 win over barrios in the last 3 years is so impressive that Spence must fight him and nobody else or give up the belt. Its ***ing ******ed if you think about it.

LOL, just posted this. Four years and the IBF refuses to order their mandatory, had no problem when it was Spence vs Broken Eye Brook but they will not activate the Ennis mandatory under any circumstance so we can continue to play the ****** game that Crawford should fight Ennis when Ortiz Jr is Crawford's Home mandatory. Thank you, Al Haymon for this continued buffoonery. Spence would vacate before he fought Ennis. Bigger switching welterweight vs Spence basic plotting forward style. Thought Porter gave him problems. Haymon calls the shots. He has no say, and will fight Thurman. Just like Haymon doesn't want Davis vs Ryan, wasn't Davis vs Abner. Another ****** fight. Let the rock in the head boxing fans debate.
