Could be a decent fight for Spence to stay busy with but I feel like Thurman doesn't deserve it. Thurman was also a big douche back when Spence wanted to fight him and Thurman shrugged off Spence multiple times like he shouldn't be in a conversation for a fight. The times have changed... I don't think Thurman will win because if he lost to a small southpaw 40yr old Manny, he's not beating a larger, stronger, busy bee type fighter in Spence. If anything, Thurman might get stopped this time around.
WBC order Spence vs Thurman.

Win over Barrios after a loss and over two years away shouldn't give you a title shot... Still gonna watch if this happens.
I also remember Spence saying something about never fighting Thurman but it could be good fightComment

Which one of Spence's mandatories will he fight? I know it's not Boots and he doesn't like Thurman so seems it's clear it will be Stanionis.Comment

Well, look at the upside. NSB keeps saying that Spence hasn't fought all of the former top dawgs, now he can.
But it reminds me of what Floyd said. :
"so let's tell the Manny Pacquiao story. So this guy Manny Pacquiao goes to welterweight, he lost to Timothy Bradley...no matter how you cut it, slice it or weigh it, he LOST to Timothy Bradley. Gets knocked out by Marquez. He come back, he go the distance with a lightweight [Algieri], and now he's all of a sudden, the mandatory for my title. "
His point was, mandatory is when whatever org wants to force a fight based on an 'eye test' performance, not necessarily that they did anything worth it.
Which is why it's silly to blame Canelo for mandatory Yildirim.
WBC picked Keef because there's nobody else.Last edited by Combat Talk Radio; 10-27-2022, 05:42 PM.Comment
