How many more times are we going to see the same thread?

Posters don’t like PBC for reasons only they know ( but rational people can guess)

Each time some internet clown posts about PBC being over, we get the same pool of NSB members giddy.

Maybe one day someone will give an honest reason why they hate pbc and why they want them to fail.

I look forward to that day so we can have a robust discussion.

        I certainly hope not.

We need somebody who won't r@pe their fighters in the game.

Fighters love Al Haymon, even naming their kids after them

        BUT

You gotta start giving the fans what we want.

I was all in on PBC when they were giving us regular fights on free TV/Showtime & fights were getting made

But they've lost me with how they've treated Bud and how all of their fighters fight once every other year, seemingly.

They've gotta be fan friendly, too.

          • showtime pbc extend contract 2024
          • showtime pbc renew contract Stephen Espinoza twitter
The only article that comes up is this ONE HERE and even though on Googles main page it says it's from August 2022, it's really not. Look at the comments at the bottom of the page, that's from 4 years ago. The last extension was a 3 year deal and for some reason the webmaster altered the date in his control panel. I design websites and I can publish a page that Google will read from 2015 that I wrote today.

If I take off the from the last year parameter, I get their former 4 year deal signed on September 5, 2018 taking it to 2022.
It was an audio interview. I can't remember if it was Mannix or someone else. He was asked about the FOX/PBC deal and said he didn't know exactly when it ended - but said Showtime exercised a 2-year extension to their current deal that takes them until the end of 2024. They already have two shows lined up in 2023 with Charlo-Tszyu and potentially Garcia-Tank. And Benavidez-Uzcategui is also targeted for January. That doesn't sound like the deal is ending - sounds like the start of a new yearly budget with plenty of shows.

I just heard a podcast he did with Showtime in early October. At no time did he say there was an extension. He just said the Showtime channel was doing well and that the CEO of Showtime supports it.

This interview was a few weeks before Paramount Plus who owns Showtime and makes all decisions about it announced the CEO of Showtime got fired so it makes it unlikely Showtime boxing will stick around.

Not sure where you get your information.

This website is owned by Paramount and I can tell you without question Showtime extended their deal with PBC until 2024.

Also the CEO of Showtime is stepping down, he was NOT fired.

Where did you get that from? How many people get fired and are still with the company helping transition the next CEO.

Nevins is not leaving until the end of the year and that's beyond documented by every major industry portal.

He, on his own, made a decision to leave at the end of the year to pursue other things.

I was just about to post that. There are countless articles reporting Nevins gave notice to Paramount that he plans to leave by the end of the year.
