I guess we'll see in the next couple of months. Boxing has become way to niche for there to be so many divisions of promoters. Things really need to be consolidated down to one big promoter and on one or two platforms.

It wouldn't be surprising to see PBC regulated to just Showtime. CBS stopped showing fights, Fox hardly shows any fights, ABC pulled out as well, and even Bounce TV left.

Haymon has no idea what he is doing. The company is losing money hand over fist. They have lost money on every single ppv they put on this year

Al Haymon hid his face all these years for good reason.

        That punk is finished.

You also forgot that Roid Mayweather also has his talons in the PBC empire and his tax woes and money laundering case are a ticking time bomb for PBC as well. All these "Black Lives Matter" pandering politicians who were slave owners back when it was accepted, are going to show their true colors when Roid hits the skids.

Exactly, Showtime's Espinoza confirmed they just extended their deal with PBC through the end of 2024. So that's at least 2 more years on Showtime.

Fred is so inaccurate and fuels so much misinformation that it's crazy. It was so satisfying to watch Kenny Porter slap his face.

I’ve always thought “PBC is gonna fail” was just a usual boxing rumor. But this year having everything on PPV and not being able to make Spence/Crawford even after Bud “crossed the street.” Is concerning.

Not surprised PBC is broke. All those terrible PPV’s. Not able to make big fights like Crawford vs Spence, Benavidez vs Plant/Charlo. ****ers only fight once a year!

When fighters don't mind fighting once a year,
                  then it's no longer a sport. It's a full-blown business.

                    Got a source for that?

I'm scouring Google with queries from the last year like:
                    • showtime pbc extension
                    • showtime pbc extension espinoza twitter
                    • showtime pbc extend contract 2024
                    • showtime pbc renew contract Stephen Espinoza twitter
The only article that comes up is this ONE HERE and even though on Googles main page it says it's from August 2022, it's really not. Look at the comments at the bottom of the page, that's from 4 years ago. The last extension was a 3 year deal and for some reason the webmaster altered the date in his control panel. I design websites and I can publish a page that Google will read from 2015 that I wrote today.

If I take off the from the last year parameter, I get their former 4 year deal signed on September 5, 2018 taking it to 2022.

No way in hell did showtime boxing get an extension. In this Era of streaming even some shows with huge ratings get cut quickly. Some top rating shows might get a few year contract. Showtime boxing ratings suck. They are not in a position to get a 2 year extension, especially when paramount is now starting to make the moves to get rid of showtime
