Agree with you. It was a close fight. On the night, I had it a draw. Savannah was not given credit for her body work and the short punches she unleashed as she was bobbing and weaving as they weren't as easy to see. I know her style so I was looking to see the work she was doing as well as Claressa. She also made the fight, was the aggressor and had better defense that she was given credit for. As for Claressa being a role model, don't discount the power of all she has overcome to reach where she has. People who grew up from where she came from usually don't make it in life. Her life demonstrates a way out for a lot of people. And that story is still being written. Don't judge a matter until the end

Ali and Martin were leagues better than shields. Just like shields tried to claim she was the greatest woman fighter even in MMA, and we see how quick she was humbled and retired.

Great Effort from Marshall at times but Shields proved to be just Levels Above, Accept it and move on! Too many Excuses from Fighters and Fans in boxing instead of giving credit to the opponent they reach for Moral Victories, Excuses and Conspiracy Theories it is all TRASH

I think people don't like how ****y Claressa is because she's (1) Black and (2) a female. Black fighters who brag on themselves and say what they gonna do in the ring gets the most hate. Other fughters of other races do it too, but i guess it sounds different coming out of a black fighter's mouth. And im not talking about the stuff that Dirrell said about Caleb Plant because that was uncalled for, but normal bravado behavior and talk. Why do Black fighters need to be humbled or such a role model in a gladiator sport? I watch fights to see the fighters act like fighters. When I used to watch WWF / WWE, I was looking for the wrestlers to be mean and arrogant. Anything less than that would be boring and hard to watch. I'm watching the NBA Season opener (Boston vs Philly) and theres a lot of ish talking out on the court. I dont see too many role models on the floor...... Clarissa is also female and it seems like us men are not ready for women to show their competitiveness in a male dominated sport. Clarissa was very complimentary of Marshall during the post fight interview and especially during the post fight press conference and admitted that all the things she said about Marshall was in retaliation to what Marshall said about her and Clarissa also said that most of the things that she said about Marshall she did not mean it and that she was just playing mind games. Clarissa is building the women's sport and people want to knock her down because she has some "hood" in her. Do any of you realize that if you grew up in the environment that she grew uo in with the same exact circumstances, that you would most likely be that same exact person? She did not choose to be born and raised in Flint, Michigan and in poverty. I'm sure if she had to choose she would of chose to be born in a more affluent neighborhood in a two parent household with little to no crime.

That’s just ridiculous. It was clear Shields beat Marshall. I like Shields. She is ugly af, but this isn’t a beauty contest. She’s the best female boxer in the world, full stop.
